„This is the first time we stayed with Mehood Lestie in China, and we’re happy with the service provided by all the staff. They made us feel welcome and at home. The room is nice and clean. The free laundry room is a plus especially for travellers like us, who are spending long time travelling in China. They provide free bottled water in the room as well as in the reception and by the lift of every floor. The staff reacted quickly when I complained about cigarette smoke in our room on the first evening we stayed, which I suspected some guests were smoking by the window at the corridor. After they checked and the smell of cigarette smoke was gone. It’s not the hotel’s fault as they can’t always monitor what guests will do, and there are non-smoking signs everywhere in the hotel. Unfortunately, there are always some guests who have no consideration at all. Apart from this slight issue which is not the hotel fault, I recommended the hotel!”

„We were travelling as 2 couples so 2 rooms under the same booking. While my room was fine the other room had a leaking shower and my son and girlfriend ended up having to move from room 626 to 602 late at night. This should have been a known issue and that room should not have been given to us in the first place. Also they ended up having a room which was cheaper and we didn’t get any compensation for it so not happy with that.”

„Best stay on our road trip and exceeded expectations.
In the evening the room next door was a bit noisy - a problem for us as sensitive sleepers. When we notified reception of the issue they immediately helped us switch to a quieter room.
Highlight was the the breakfast. Much higher quality and range then you would expect for hotel at this cost.
Overall incredibly good value - highly recommend.”

„This hotel looked incredible! From top to bottom, it was clear that the designers took style seriously. The rooms gave off a sense of luxury that few other hotels in this process range have. The carpets, floors, doors, cabinets, beds etc. emitted a sense of tranquility, which made me feel very comfortable. Also, after travelling around China for nearly a month, I can say that this was by far the best breakfast I've had at roughly a dozen hotels. The staff were professional, everything was very clean, and the location could not have been better.
My only issues: there was no air conditioning, and my room was very hot at night. Additionally, when the rooms next to you are watching television, you can hear everything in your room.”

„Very nice hotel in Jiayuguan. The room is nice, clean and the bed is very good. There are plenty of nice restaurants for food close by. The staff is nice and helpfully but as elsewhere in China, when asking if there is a bus to somewhere they will tell you to take a taxi.
There is a bus (bus 6) that goes directly to the Fort, it literally stops in front of the hotel and it costs one Yuan (pay cash; no Alipay or Weixin in the bus but a different app). You can also rent a HelloRide scooter to get around. You can't get to the Overhanging Wall and the First Beacon with the scooter (it is outside of the service area; so you have to take a taxi since there is actually no bus there 😊 ).”

„The hotel design is outstanding but it is not easy to spend your life in practical. The room number in both at key card and in front of the room is difficult to read. The rest room have no place to hang your towel and cloths. The light in the room is very dim. The very well hotel design did not match with the paper cups they provided for drinking any drinks in the room. Ceramic mug is not too expensive to provide for guest to use as other hotel. The kettle should be cleaned up or replacing with new one. It don’t think it is expensive or there is many method to clean up this stain in the internet. Staff is helpful but very few only one person at a time. The way to the breakfast room is very complicated with no any sign. What I like most is breakfast room. Very relax deign and various food option.”

„A wonderful place
This hotel is a real germ. The well looked after house is very clean, airy and nicely decorated and in a quiet neighbourhood. The centre is easily reached by taxi.
We got an upgrade to a very spacious room with a very comfortable bed, fluffy towels and a fresh herbal foot bath every day as well as nice local fruit tea.
Breakfast was delicious. Above all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The manageress picked us up from the railway station on arrival, and organised an amazing taxi driver for our tours for a very reasonable price.
We highly recommend this hotel.”

GGośćWe stayed at Ji Hotel Urumqi Tianshan Airport few nights ago and were so impressed with the hotel’s theme. We stayed at Ji hotel again in Jiayuguan and it had exactly the same theme, minimalist and zen style. We really had a good rest here and feel calmed. All staffs at Ji hotel Jiayuguan are very nice, polite and helpful. Ladies who clean our room was very kind and gave us more drinking water due to dry weather. Laundry machine also were cleaned regularly. Very impressed with the attention to details and services 👍👍👍

Good location relatively close to the fortress and on the way to the wall. Plenty of food options around and more within 1 Km around.
The staff at the reception were so helpful. No English spoken but with all the apps communication is not a big issue. It just take more time 🤔😅
The room was big. Great bathroom. A lot of space and storage available. Good air conditioning system.
Breakfast was simply delicious and every day there were different items available. Not much western food but anyway Chinese food is healthier. Staff there was lovely.
The fitness area is a bit minimalist.
Self laundry is available and works great.
I will return for sure.
A Personal tip to people visiting Jiayuguan: I suggest getting to the wall first thing in the morning after breakfast. Taxis is the only option.In July 2024 the price I paid (Meter as usual) was 26 Yuans. After visiting that place take a taxi to the fortress (Jiayu pass) as it is on the way to the city anyway. The cost was 11 Yuans and it is very close to the fortress unlike the main ticket office located 2 Km away (where the bus nr 4 stops).
Further tip if you like HotPot restaurants the NanjiaXiang is a great choice at a very reasonable price. It is 800 meters away from the hotel.

GGośćDon't let the facade of this hotel fool you. While the frontage is a 4-floor building, majority of the hotel rooms are located at a much taller building behind the frontage.
The reception has a free coffee machine for guest, which is a rarity for Chinese hotels (especially if not 5-stars). I wish the reception was more brightly lit.
There is a Halal restaurant next to the hotel, so if you must eat Halal food, this hotel is perfectly located.
The room has adequate space for 2 person to put 2 big luggage, with plenty space to hang the winter clothing. The insulation is good, heater is warm, water pressure is strong with sufficient hot water when you need it. There's one odd thing about the heating in this hotel. The floor is heated, which is good prima facie, but the guest cannot control the temperature. So if the window is closed when you sleep at night, the heated floor ended up radiating heat all over the room to the point it feels like a 30C charcoal sauna when you wake up in the morning.
One special mention must be made about the breakfast. The dining area looks relatively spartan but the dishes would surprise you. It serves Salmon, Fish Eggs and one Cantonese delicacy ”Buddha Jumping Over the Wall”, which was a total surprise as we didn't expect a Cantonese dish to be served here so far in the northwest of China. I appropriated 2 bowls of Buddha Dish for one morning, enough said. I would absolutely come here for breakfast again. If the hotel could fix the control for the floor heating, that would be great !

FFacu31Our stay was excellent. We arrived at night, very tired after a long journey, and were warmly and efficiently welcomed. The room was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The service provided by all the staff—from reception to housekeeping and the breakfast area—was consistently kind and professional.
A great advantage was the self-service laundry facilities, which allowed us to wash our clothes conveniently. Another highlight was the varied buffet breakfast: everything was fresh and delicious, and we truly enjoyed it—trying a few new dishes for the first time!
The location is outstanding, just across from the station. We would gladly stay here again without hesitation and will certainly recommend it.

GGośćThis is a local hotel. It is basic and quite dated. No one speaks English so it can be quite difficult for foreigners. Breakfast is limited and there are only local options. We had a do not disturb sign on our door but the hotel cleaner still came in to make up the room. It is fine to stay here for a night as there are limited hotel options in Jiayuguan but do not expect a luxury experience.

DDarioFWhen we arrived it felt like a ghost town. It seems that it was once a tourist village but everything is closed now. There are no restaurants and also the hotel does not serve food. A supermarket is close by. The rooms are large and bright. The personal does not speak English but was always available and tried to communicate via translating apps. The hotel is in walking distance (5 minutes) from the fort and the great wall museum.
