This boutique hotel presents an amazing surprise in the depths of the Miao Village. The rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art Smart Home systems. For example, one could control the curtains and lighting with verbal commands—in mandarin. There was a slide and ball pit in our room, which was a bonus. The bathtub is one of the largest offerings we have encountered and come with a herbal bath services that is included with the booking fee. Whilst the hotel doesn’t have round-the-clock room service, one could ask the front desk for help with food orders by means of a local food delivery app. Our McDonalds order arrived within half an hour. The hotel provides Miao traditional clothes for guests to wear and take photos, free of charge. Last but not least, the hotel rooms provide a beautiful and unblocked view of the Miao village and the mountainous terrain. The hotel crew that we met were extremely helpful, and would help provide additional lighting for night photo shoots, carry your bags, and also bring food to your room. Xiao Ning, Xiao Hai and Xiao Kai were really wonderful hotel staff who went the extra mile to make our stay most comfortable and memorable. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Very nice room with AMAZING view. You can see the whole village from the balcony. Our butler (Ah Hua) is the best. He is a very nice person and willing to help you everything you ask for. Before arriving, he communicated with our driver to take us to the right spot (Entrance) and once we arrived he was waiting for greeting us at the parking lot and took care all our luggages. He also recommended sightseeing spots and restaurant (foods that you should try here).

the most amazing stay with an amazing view. Hotel lobby and room are insanely gorgeous. Butler sevice was really good. 小刘 met us at the west gate of the attraction and carried our duffle bags all the way to the hotel. Its very conveniently located closer to the top of the mountain and next to the main road so you don’t have to climb up any small alleys to get here. Amenities were amazing too - Dyson hairdryer, le labo shower amenities. Free mini bar drinks. They even give you a special Miao medicated foot bath and hot milk as bed time amenities.

Xijiang is undergoing major construction phase. Access from the viewing deck to the hotel is a tiny horrendous narrow steep dirt alley with physical encounter with ponies used for hauling building materials. A new hotel is under construction right next door and screeching of drills and banging of hammer started promptly at 7am. White painted room decorated by light colour elegant furniture provide a lively zen ambiance. Uneven surfaces at the entrance, breakfast bench and parts of the room resulted in a few trips and stumble. Modern and top grade amenities, toilet suites and voice activated commands took a little use to but very convenient. Breakfast was a choice between boiled rice noodle or spaghetti with a heart shaped froed egg in the bowl and another hard boiled on the serving tray. Tit bits and free beer prepaed for afternoon tea was extended to mid night cap. Appreciated most of all were the free porterage of our luggage through the steep alleys of the famous hillsides to and from our room.

The room was very clean, and the owners were incredibly welcoming. The location is excellent – no uphill climbs, as the guesthouse is right by the road, yet surprisingly quiet. The rooms are built with solid concrete, so the soundproofing is fantastic. The overall environment is clean, bright, and feels spacious. All the facilities in the room are brand new and complete, and every area is spotlessly clean, making it very reassuring. Both the owner and his wife are very hospitable and provide excellent service, offering great value for money and a wonderful experience. We were traveling with elderly family members, and the owner even helped us assist them. I found the pillow a bit high, and the owner immediately brought a lower one, which was so thoughtful. Very satisfied!

Getting from the scenic area parking lot into any hotels in Qianhu Miao village can be very challenging. You would need to walk over 600 meters with luggage, queue for a local shuttle, and then walk or climb stairs again to reach whatever hotel you book. As a solo traveler with my young daughter and two suitcases, this initially felt overwhelming when thinking about this idea . I’m truely glad that I chose to stay with this hotel. Before we arrived, the staff proactively contacted me via WeChat and sent someone to meet us at the ticket checkpoint outside of the village to help with our luggage, and guide us onto the shuttle. This thoughtful assistance made a huge difference. The hotel’s location was perfect, right next to the viewing platform. After getting off the electric shuttle, it took only one minute walk to reach the lobby. The views from the lobby, rooftop, and room are absolutely stunning. We didn’t need to visit crowded public viewpoints — enjoying the sparkling night view of the Miao village from our room was more than enough. The Breakfast was generous and delicious, with surprisingly good coffee. A very good sour fish soup restaurant is located nearby. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. They patiently taught my daughter the Miao ethnic batik indigo dye — she loved it so much that she couldn’t stop. On the fifth floor, the hotel also offers a variety of ethnic costumes for photo shoots. Even after checkout, they still helped carry our luggage all the way to the parking lot, which was truly appreciated. Although our stay was short, we could truly feel the care, attention to detail, and kindness from everyone at the hotel. Staying here felt more like being at home than at a hotel. We will definitely come back again and stay for longer. Strongly recommended!

The hotel is located mid-hill with panoramic views as seen in my photos. Room was clean and service is friendly, there is a porter who helped to carry our luggage from the observation deck to the hotel after the shuttle dropped us off. The family room is very large with three partitions: kids room, parents room and a small living area with sofa and writing desk. They also provide washing machine and dryer for self service. The aircon in the room provides both heating and cooling function which is very useful for cold nights on the mountain. To get to the village Main Street where all the performances, restaurants and attractions are, you will need to climb down the hill and back up again to return. Hence it’s not advisable for those with very young children or old people with mobility issues to stay here.

The bed is very comfortable, and the room is clean, tidy, hygienic, and comfortable. The service attitude is excellent, and the pick-up and drop-off service exceeded expectations. Very satisfied. 😊

The beautiful Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village feels like a journey through time. In the early morning, a thin mist hangs over the wooden stilt houses, and the distant chirping of birds creates a refreshing atmosphere. As night falls, the village lights up, and the bustling crowds fill the entire Miao Village with life and energy. Besides the captivating scenery, there's also mouth-watering food, with every bite tasting like home. Friends who are planning to visit Miao Village, come and experience this unique charm! We stayed at Shawan Homestay, which has a comfortable environment and an excellent view. The butler service was warm and attentive, and the facilities were very upscale. We were very satisfied with both the stay and the food. This trip was delightful!

Po przyjeździe zostaliśmy serdecznie powitani przez samego szefa — naprawdę miłego i troskliwego człowieka. Zameldowanie przebiegło sprawnie i serdecznie. Później poinformował nas, że jeśli chcemy odwiedzić centrum miasta, gdzie znajduje się Miao Village, z łatwością zorganizują dla nas transport, a my możemy po prostu wysłać do nich wiadomość w celu powrotu. Chociaż szef skromnie wspomniał, że nie jest prawdziwym koneserem herbaty, mimo to obsłużył nas szczerze i serdecznie. Kiedy nadszedł czas wymeldowania, a nasz samochód już czekał, szef osobiście podszedł, aby upewnić się, że mamy wodę na podróż. Uprzejmie zaoferował wodę butelkowaną i chciał nawet dać więcej, ale z wdzięcznością przyjęliśmy dwie — i tak było ich więcej niż wystarczająco. Sam hotel jest nieskazitelnie czysty, komfortowy i zadbany. Ale to, co naprawdę czyni to miejsce wyjątkowym, to ciepło i szczerość szefa. Gorąco polecam.
