„We were a group of seven staying from 1–2 November 2025.
Good Service:
The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle service to go down from the hotel, which is located on a mountain slope. We requested an early check-in at 5 p.m. as we had a baby, and the hotel kindly accommodated our request. Since the building has four storeys and our rooms were on the 3rd and 4th floors, the staff also helped carry all our luggage to the rooms — much appreciated!
Cleanliness:
The toilet and hot spring areas were clean, bright, and well-maintained.
Minor Issue:
I stayed on the top floor, and around 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. we heard some noises from the ceiling — possibly from animals. I couldn’t sleep well that night. We gave feedback to the receptionist, who explained that the building is close to the forest and the sounds might have come from raccoons.
Overall:
We were satisfied with our stay. The excellent service and cleanliness made it a pleasant and enjoyable experience overall.”

„I had a pleasant stay at Ilume Hotel Taipei. The hotel offers a nice city view and is very conveniently located, with easy access to public transportation. There are also plenty of convenience stores and dining options nearby, which made everything very convenient during our stay.
The room we stayed in was one of the refurbished rooms, and it was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, the room quality was quite good and met our expectations.
That said, the service could be improved slightly, as response time and attentiveness were sometimes a bit slow. Nevertheless, it did not significantly affect our overall experience.
Overall, Ilume Hotel Taipei is a good choice for travelers looking for comfort, accessibility, and value for money. I would consider staying here again in the future.”

„The location is excellent, the layout is well-planned, and the bed is very comfortable. There are two power outlets, one at the head and one at the foot, which is more than enough and very convenient. On the 2nd and 3rd floors, every seat in the lounge area has an outlet (this is super important!!). The 3rd floor also has a small kitchen where you can cook late-night snacks, and a large refrigerator for your own food. The front desk staff are very friendly, and there are free earplugs available at the counter.”

„I had a wonderful stay at The Riviera Hotel Taipei. The location is perfect—close to local dining, temples, parks, and shopping. Catching an Uber from here is very convenient.
The room was clean and fully equipped (iron, kettle, hair dryer). The bathroom was amazing, featuring a shower with perfect pressure and a comfortable heated automatic toilet.
Breakfast was delicious and diverse; I stayed for 5 days and enjoyed every meal. The staff, from the waiters to the receptionists, were professional and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return!”

„Stayed here in early January. The hotel was thoughtful enough to provide hand warmers as cold winds were forecasted for the following day.
Hotel location is about a 10-minute walk from Jiantan station. I would strongly recommend taking a taxi when arriving or leaving with luggage, the walk from the station is quite a hassle. On the plus, it is close to several convenience stores and only about 5 minutes from Shilin Night Market. The room was as described and decently sized to open two luggage. The bathroom was clean with good water pressure.
A few inconveniences I encountered included inconsistent housekeeping. Some items were replenished while others were not, on some days the towels were thin and also seemed old with stains (minor issue as replacements could be instantly requested). The air-conditioning also felt a bit slow at times, and some nights were slightly warm.
Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, it was still a pleasant stay, especially if you want to be close to Shilin Night Market.”

„Due to the house remodel, we find Instone for a temporary place to stay. Instone is a place, that is closed to kids' school. There are many bus routes so it easy to reach MRT and downtown by bus.
Instone provides breakfast, the servant made an exception to allow my kid to have her breakfast before the service hour so she could eat before going to school. We appreciate it. They provide bread and congee, coffee, tea, side dishes, and salad, simple and overall quality is good enough.
we book a family room for 4 people. The room is big. The bathroom is as big as the room, and supplied 4 people's toiletries, we can have a hot shower after work. Mini bar offers free snacks, cup instant noodles, soft drinks, bottled water, tea bags, and hot water. Air conditioner is cool enough. The facility and interior design are outdated, but I would say it is a very economical option for budget travelers.”

„The private hot spring and sauna experience was excellent. Being able to soak and then rest in our own room — alternating between bathing and relaxing — made it especially enjoyable. The room was not small and was perfectly adequate for two people. Ours even had a small window overlooking the library across the street. Beitou residents are truly fortunate — this place is simply beautiful.
The breakfast was also delicious. Their curry was not the typical Japanese style, nor was it Indian; it seemed closer to a Southeast Asian style — I’m not entirely sure, but it was absolutely flavorful. If we return in the future, I would gladly stay here again.
Each guest is entitled to one complimentary public bath session per day. However, since our room was so comfortable, we chose not to use it. It’s essentially just a larger communal pool.”

DDanielledaneService was top tier! Every single personnel or staff in this hotel were very accommodating and friendly. The amenities were more than what we needed. And we got upgraded into Fabulous room and the view was beautiful. The interior of the room is my favorite. I loved my time here in W. The pool though honestly was a bit cold for me. They probably dont use their pool heater much but i enjoyed more in their sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.

AAlice172I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Gracery Taipei during my recent trip. The location is truly unbeatable—being right next to the Taipei Main Station area made it so easy to get around the city, and the access to the Airport MRT made my arrival and departure completely stress-free.
The room was clean, modern, and well-designed, offering a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring. I especially appreciated how quiet and well-maintained the hotel is, despite being in such a bustling part of the city.
The staff were professional and helpful, and the proximity to plenty of shopping, food options, and transport links is a huge plus. Whether you are in Taipei for business or leisure, this hotel is a solid, reliable, and convenient choice. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).

GGośćThis is my first time spending my vacation at Amba Taipei Songshan. I was there for 7D6N from Thu 11th Dec 2025 to Wed 17th Dec 2025. The hotel lobby was on the 17th floor of the Amba building. The front counter staff were very nice and friendly. I was given a pair of slippers with the name Amba on it as a free gift. The Medium River View King Bed room was on the highest 21st floor. The sanitary conditions in my room was good and well-maintained. Everyday the housekeeper will tidy my bed, clean the bathroom and toilet and sweep the floor. I put my passport in a safe with my own password in my room. On my 2nd day on Thu 12th Dec 2025, I had visited the 24 hours hotel gym on the 18th floor. Although it was a small gym, I think they had enough equipment like treadmill, step machine and weights to keep me fit. Amba Taipei Songshan do not hv a swimming pool becos it is considered a 4 star hotel. I don't like to swim so it is alright for me. Breakfast time was from 630am - 10am which sounds a bit weird for me becos most hotels that I had stayed overseas and local had breakfast time from 630am - 1030am, extra 30mins. Not much choices for breakfast. Two main types :
(1) Chinese : stir fried noodles or rice + cabbage + red bean bao + meatball, porridge provided with pickled cucumbers
(2) Western : omelette with no ingredients & fried egg, salad furnished with different ingredients like green beans, bread provided with jam & peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, salami and peppered pastrami, baked beans, hash brown and chia seeds
Personally, for breakfast, I loved the salad with green beans, omelette, hard boiled eggs, salami, peppered pastrami and 1 cup of cold chia seeds + kopi O. I was very surprised to have 1 cup of cold chia seeds for my breakfast becos chia seeds is healthy and usually not found in breakfast list in hotels. I had stayed in 2010 at Grand Hyatt Taipei before and did not have chia seeds for breakfast at Grand Hyatt Taipei, a 5 star hotel.
Amba Taipei Songshan has a bridge on the 3rd floor which linked to Songshan bus interchange & Songshan MRT. It was very convenient to walk over to have my lunch and dinner at the shopping mall on top of Songshan bus interchange and Songshan MRT.
The temperature outside was 18 - 19 deg C. Was considered very cold to me. So I had to wear double layer tee and a thick windbreaker to keep me warm when I went out.
Overall, the stay at Amba Taipei Songshan was above average.

Palais de Chine to piękny hotel o ciepłej, klasycznej atmosferze. Personel był super przyjazny i pomocny od samego początku. Mój pokój był czysty, przytulny i stylowy — a łóżko było tak wygodne! Śniadanie w formie bufetu miało świetną mieszankę dań zachodnich i azjatyckich. Lokalizacja jest również idealna, blisko sklepów i transportu publicznego. Zdecydowanie zatrzymałabym się tu ponownie!

GGość1. Misleading Entrance Signage
Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable.
2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance
When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside?
3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior
After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues.
As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight.
We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of:
- Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance
- Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival
- Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior
We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future.

Our family had an amazing stay here. The room was spacious enough for all of us, with comfortable beds and thoughtful touches that made our stay relaxing. The hotel’s cleanliness was impressive, and housekeeping did an excellent job each day.
Location was ideal — plenty of food choices, convenience stores, and MRT stations nearby. Moving around the city was very easy.
What we appreciated most was the warm and friendly service. Staff greeted us sincerely every time and helped with directions, transport bookings, and recommendations.
Breakfast was varied and delicious, with options suitable for both adults and kids. Overall, a fantastic choice for families looking for comfort and convenience.

GGośćCheck-in time is 3PM but we arrived at 2PM and were allowed to get the room which was a pleasant surprise. The reception staff was also nice.
The room itself was spacious and clean. One of the main issues we encountered during the stay in Taiwan was lack of sound-proofing … but not at this accomodation. We could (nearly) not hear sounds from outside the room.
Located nearby are multiple convenience stores and restaurants. In terms of mobility, a big YouBike lot is located just across the street and about 5-10 minutes by foot are a MRT station and a big Bus station.
Overall this was a pleasant stay.
