Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars; First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review. The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-) Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance. 1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process. 2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance. Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

Pokój był bardzo czysty, a personel był absolutnie niesamowity, pożyteczny i przyjemny przez cały nasz pobyt. Jednak sytuacja parkingowa była koszmarem. Jedyną opcją było parking Valet, który nie był jasny wcześniej. Znalezienie wejścia było zakłócane, a gdy wreszcie się dowiedzieliśmy, że valet był obowiązkowy w wysokości 63 dolarów dziennie. Staff Valet był bardzo przyjazny, ale wolę elastyczność parkowania i dostępu do mojego samochodu na własny rachunek. Był pobliski hotel oferuje parking za $40/day, ale logistyka z tyłu i z przodu sprawiła, że ta opcja nie jest praktyczna. Sam pokój był stylowy i dobrze zachowany, ale bardzo mały z minimalną prywatnością. Podróżowałem z dziećmi na cheerful konkurs, więc mieliśmy dużo sprzętu, a po prostu nie było wystarczająco dużo miejsca. Pokój miał tylko mały stolik pod telewizorem, kilka nocnych stołów i benchno prawdziwej przestrzeni do dodatkowego bagażu lub do poruszania się komfortowo. Układ był ciasny, szczególnie między łóżkiem i meblem. Nie było oddzielnej łazienkijest tylko prysznic i toaleta bez pełnej ściany lub drzwi dla prywatności. Z grupą młodych dziewczyn w pokoju, to sprawiło, że rzeczy naprawdę nieprzyjemne, zwłaszcza gdy nie czułem się dobrze i potrzebowałem prywatnej przestrzeni. Nie było wentylatora lub drzwi, aby zamknąć obszar łazienki całkowicie, co było dużym problemem. Podczas gdy pokój był całkowity czysty, zauważyłem pyłu w niektórych obszarach na górnych półkach, nad lodówką i na łazience. Zawsze robię wycieraczkę, gdy się zamelduję, a podczas gdy podłogi i powierzchnie były ogólnie czyste, te trudniejsze do dotarcia miejsca zostały przegapione. Nie było również wystarczających haków lub przestrzeni do powieszenia i organizowania odzieży lub narzędzi. This hotel is not convenient from the airport. There is no shuttle bus from the airport. We saw a fake review that said there is a shuttle bus. it's so bad! Ctrip should not allow such a review!! When we realised that there is no shuttle bus from the airport, we called an Uber from the airport to go to the hotel. Each way the Uber cost 46 dollars (without tip). Even though the hotel is not very far from the airport. We don't know why it's so expensive. So we paid 100 dollars just to from and to the airport. We are not happy about it :( So don't stay at this hotel if you are going from the airport. Don't make the same mistake we did and waste your money.

The hotel is quite new, and the room facilities are pretty good. The free shuttle bus directly to the airport is super convenient. For Los Angeles, it's a reasonably priced option with good value for money.

My wife and I visited Catalina Island for our 28th anniversary — our first time back since before we were married in 1997. We chose the Catalina Canyon Inn specifically for the pool, jacuzzi, on-site restaurant, and shuttle service. Their website is very nice and seemed like a perfect match for the occasion. Unfortunately, very little matched what was advertised. Shuttle: The shuttle was not waiting at the Catalina Express port when we arrived on the last ferry Saturday evening which was unexpected. Four of us were left waiting in the dark for about 20 minutes until the other couple called the hotel. The driver was friendly and apologized, but this set the tone for the weekend. The shuttle was consistently unreliable throughout our stay. They tell you to call the driver directly, but he often didn't answer. You'd end up having to call the hotel instead, and the shuttle only seemed to come after someone went inside and told the front desk in person. At one point we waited 45 minutes. Some guests got frustrated and just decided to walk, but the hotel sits at the top of a steep hill — not a realistic option, especially for older guests like us. Their website suggests the shuttle runs regularly, but that was far from our experience. Restaurant: We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 PM Saturday and were turned away, even though their website says they're open until 8:00 PM. We had to rush down the hill to find dinner to-go in town before the shuttle stopped running at 8:45. It was a shame we didn't even have time to stay and eat on our anniversary or face having to trek up that hill. The next morning I mentioned this to the restaurant owner, who insisted they closed at 8:00 and that she was there. She then told us the restaurant closes at 2:00 PM on Sundays — so dinner there that night wasn't an option either. She was very friendly though I must say. On Monday we finally had breakfast before checkout. The food was mediocre and didn't match the glowing reviews at all. The prices were also odd — $12 for mozzarella sticks, $20 for nachos, but only $11 for pulled pork sliders, which you'd expect to be the pricier item. The pricing just didn't add up. While we were there, another couple was turned away at 1:30 PM because the restaurant closes from 2–4 on Mondays. We could feel their frustration. Jacuzzi: The jacuzzi we were looking forward to was covered up and converted into a gazebo with chairs. At first we couldn't find it but yea. No mention of this on the website. Room issues: The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The front desk told us we can mention it to housekeeping, who didn't come until after 5:00 PM. We got the soap and a couple fresh towels. The towels themselves were thin and didn't dry well overnight so fresh ones were sorely needed to get at least one shower in with soap before we had to leave the next day. The TV didn't work at all, and the microwave was unplugged — though I was able to fix that myself. The hotel also doesn't offer complimentary coffee, which is standard at most hotels we've stayed at for half the price. The good: The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the balcony was a nice touch. The room was quiet. Bottom line: The website gives a very different impression than what you actually get. Between the unreliable shuttle, limited and unpredictable restaurant hours, missing amenities, thin towels, and no coffee, this was not the anniversary experience we hoped for. I'd recommend staying somewhere closer to downtown so you're not dependent on a shuttle and stuck with limited options. I think we need to redo our anniversary. It was a miss for sure.

The promised 'every half hour' airport shuttle was nonexistent; I waited for almost an hour and ultimately had to call the hotel to request pickup. More troubling was the clear difference in staff hospitality: employees were friendly only toward Bonvoy members and treated guests who booked via third-party services (such as Trip.com) with indifference or coldness

Huge thanks to the housekeeper who cleaned room 225 on June 19th! I forgot my charger and cable, and they actually chased after me to return them 👍👍 The hotel's location is far from the city center, making it ideal for self-driving travelers. There are plenty of parking spaces, though many outdoor spots are quite a distance from the lobby entrance. Hygiene seemed fine, and having two complimentary bottles of water daily is a rarity in the US. The front desk is actually open 24 hours, not just until midnight as stated on Trip.com. As other reviews mentioned, the Wi-Fi is really poor; it constantly disconnects and requires reconnection. The room itself is very spacious and offers excellent value for money.

The location was very convenient and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Free shuttle from and to the airport. Water station next to the lobby to refill water bottles. Nice outside pool in the third floor. Rooms were not too cramped. Restaurant and bar in the ground floor. Not much else around the hotel walking distance other than a few gas stations, car rentals, and a starbucks.

It was originally booked for king size bed me and my friend because there is no availability in the website for twin bed but upon arrival in the lobby of the hotel and checking in they offered us if we would like to have twin bed with no extra fee will be added. So amazing and we really did appreciated that. Looking forward to book it again in next trip. Thank you

一號酒店應該是這幾年開始興起的新五星酒店？酒店以原生態設計為靈感，大堂和房間的裝修用了大量原木，非常有意思。位置很好，酒店在山坡上，酒店的大露台可以俯瞰整個城市，LA的傍晚很美～住過來才知道西好萊屋是boy town～到處飄揚的彩虹旗也是很有意思哈哈哈附近好吃的好玩好吃非常多，又不像市區有那麼多流浪漢，我住了五天整體感覺還是非常舒服的～哦對，酒店的早餐很不錯，我幾乎嘗試了菜單上的每個主菜，沒有任何踩雷，果汁也很棒，酒店採用的都是加州應季的水果，來住的話一定要嘗試呀。咖啡和茶就一言難盡了，不好喝...也有其他槽點：比如保潔員沒有檢查冰箱，冰箱裏還有上一個住客留下來的沒喝完的飲料...酒店很新，但維護不太好，地毯已經有大片污漬了...前台有一個服務生態度很差...還趕上了LA酒店員工集體罷工，服務多少有些跟不上。
