The stay was excellent as usual. But the night of check-in, on Wed. Feb 14th, the receptionist was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I traveled late and checked in about 11pm. I was asked how I was let in, and I said one of the guests allowed us to come up with him. I advised the male receptionist that I had called hotel front desk, and he said 'no you didn't, I didn't get any phone calls. I ignored his comment.
I then asked for if they had complimentary water, he responded "no we don't do that". I mentioned, we have gotten complimentary small water bottles in past stays, and he said in an argumentative manner "no you haven't, we've never done that". At this point, I was baffled and tired, that I didn't feel like arguing with him, so I just took my key and told him to have a good night. There was no response.
This is the first time I have a bad experience with customer service at this hotel. Everyone is usually pleasant and professional, no matter the check in time. I know Marriott hotels have high standards and this employee is not the representation of the services Marriott strives to provide. I hope you can provide education and counseling on this employee. Thank you
