Phi Hotel Ambra

Tout était très bien sauf que à mon arrivée, le réceptionniste ne trouvait pas ma réservation. Du coup je vous ai écrit et la personne qui m’a répondu a très vite pris les choses en main et réglé le problème.

Good hotel. If you travel for short term it’s nice

Unico merito di questa struttura è il fatto di trovarsi in una posizione centrale, a pochi passi dalla stazione. Anche il personale che ha curato il check-in è stato molto cordiale. Per il resto, si tratta di una struttura estremamente vetusta. Se questo può essere accettabile - e per qualcuno magari apprezzabile - negli spazi comuni, non è tollerabile trovare, nel 2023, un certo genere di camere. E non parlo di estetica: in questo caso, si tratterebbe di legittimo gusto personale (per me, ad esempio, questo stile di arredamento è estremamente brutto). Gli arredi e le infrastrutture, però, sono molto usurate, tanto danneggiate dal tempo da apparire sporche (non credo sia un problema di pulizia, ma appunto di fisiologico deterioramento). Faccio qualche esempio: il copriletto vecchio e scolorito dà l'idea di non venir lavato dal 1960, le tende sono impolverate e piene di pallini, il box doccia presenta delle microcrepe, il termosifone è arrugginito, la carta da parati è sporca e strappata in numerosi punti. Va bene lo stile un po' agè, ma questa la definirei piuttosto incuria! Le camere, peraltro, non sono insonorizzate, per cui si può sentire letteralmente qualsiasi rumore provenire dalle camere accanto, persino gli starnuti. Il bagno è piccolissimo, i dispenser di sapone poco igienici (sarebbero meglio delle saponette monoconfezionate), gli asciugamani spaiati e i sanitari arrugginiti. La colazione, poi, è ha (pochi) prodotti da discount, di qualità pessima. Vorrei far notare che non sono presenti opzioni vegane (nemmeno un semplice latte vegetale), ma mi sembrerebbe superfluo visto che l'hotel è evidente fermo a cinque decenni fa. Mi dispiace, ma il prezzo (nemmeno troppo basso, in fin dei conti) e la posizione possono poco in confronto a tutti questi difetti. Mai più.

Ok pour une nuit d'escale. Fonctionnel et bien placé. Mais propreté minimale, isolation inexistante et déjeuner limite (la café était mauvais alors qu'on est en Italie...?). Le réceptionniste fatigué nous a accueilli sans lever les yeux de son écran. Mérite plutôt 2 étoiles.

Excellent location if traveling by train or bus. Although a little dated, it worked well for my Stay. Breakfast is OK. Barely worth paying extra for but nice to have in the building. I would stay there again.

Definitely NOT a Palace. Definitely not 3 and a half stars Let’s stay by saying this hotel Ambra Palace is definitely not a palace. I should have listened to the other reviewers. It’s a dump completely with rude staff at reception. Whilst Agoda (don’t get me started on them) and the hotel website boast about having airconditioning this is not the case. Well the rude gentleman first said there is no aircon but when he is shown it in writing on the website and on Agoda the story changes to ‘seasonally available’. Well not at certain times of the year anyway. 29 degrees during our stay but aircon already turned off for the year. The rude gentleman who lost the ability to speak English advised through his female colleagues that their website can’t be changed to define when aircon isn’t available. Nor apparently can it be changed on Agoda according to him. So bottom line no aircon year round, yet they advise there is. Unacceptable. Now the shower? Shall we talk about the fact the shower head won’t stay in place making it a hand held shower. Unacceptable. So back down to my friend on the counter and in fairness he does arrange a room change. But changing rooms is never fun. Shower should have been in working order. New room has twin beds. We need a double but who could be bothered complaining again. Small rooms with very dated furniture and dated bathrooms. Very thin walls and we heard fellow guests in next room all night. The solution on the second night was to leave the window open and listen to all the street noise. Breakfast was okay. Location was okay. Don’t go to this hotel. Listen to the reviews We will never be back to this ‘Palace’

Beautiful big green sign.but the bed was horrible, 3 inches mattress, felt like straws,we couldn't stay for the 2 nights duration, no plugs to plug in our phone chargers,the only one available was over the toilet .PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE YOU WILL LEAVE CRIPPLE.

Great staff always there to help breakfast really good. Shops just around the corner. Clean rooms very much enjoyed my stay there.
