Located behind a charming, old-school square, this spot is super convenient with plenty of food options nearby. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The owner even helped carry our luggage up to the third floor! The place was clean, and there's a small terrace on the third floor. Plus, the famous 'Bashi' market is just around the corner.

We had a wonderful stay at Yuxiang Hostel in April 2024 (a family of ten members). It is a beautiful place, everything is so charming, the house is beautifully laid out with terrasses, a cosy courtyard, an intimate dining area, and a garden. The host and the team at the hostel are extremely helpful, very warm and genuine. The breakfast is rich, very tasteful and varied. We also had lunch and dinner, very tasty too. Our children (12 and 13) and young people also enjoyed the stay very much, especially because all the people at the hostel are so friendly. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this guesthouse, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was overwhelming in the best possible way. The boss was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warmth and attentiveness truly made me feel welcome and well taken care of. The location of the guesthouse is excellent—conveniently situated with easy access to local attractions, dining, and transportation. It was the perfect base for exploring the area, and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot. As for the room, it was spotless, very clean, and impeccably tidy. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into maintaining the property, and I appreciated the comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay. Thank you for such a memorable experience—I will definitely be returning in the future!

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be quite easy to find, which is always a plus when traveling. The interior is cool and modern, giving a great first impression. However, a closer inspection revealed that the facilities are quite worn down. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the view from my room was very nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which added to the overall positive experience. Unfortunately, I found a hair in the shower drain, which was a bit off-putting. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. It was a complete rip-off and not at all what I expected from a place that advertises “breakfast included.” All they offered was a plate with a toast, an egg, half a sausage, and some cabbage, which is totally overpriced for what it is. Overall, my stay was okay, but there is definitely room for improvement in terms of maintenance and the quality of the breakfast. There is no lift, so if you have heavy luggage prepare yourself to carry it to the second floor. The guy working at the front desk was really helpful and even welcomed us in the middle of the night.

First a warning, this is not a hotel but more like an AirBnB. So if you are looking for hotel services such as a reception, lounge, breakfast, etc, it is not for you. Once you arrive you need to ask two ladies there at the entrance to contact the owners of the place to come and give you the code, etc. Rather unusual experience but it works. Having this clear, this is a very good option for accommodation in Xiamen. The most magnificent part is the amazing view. The same view that the 5 star Conrad hotel has next door for one fifth of the cost. The place is ulta clean which is the second best thing. Sparking clean and very well designed room. The battub in front of the window gives you an unforgottable experience. You can open a bottle of wine or make tea and enjoy bathing looking scenery for hours. Next thing is very good service, when I requested couple of things they came to my room rather quickly and helped with my request with a very positive attitude. Finally, it is very good for money, the location is great for this price. You are literally next door to one of the most luxurious hotels of Xiamen. There are many dining opportunities of middle level around and you are also close to the ferry port for the Gunggu island. Last, I want to give some recommendations to the owners: the onlyt thing i can criticse is the lack of a portable thing for hanging my clothes. The hangers on the walls were not enough. Next, it would be great if you would leave couple of tea bags and maybe also instant coffee in the room. It would cost you little and would make the guests stay in the room rather than going out for it. You can also modernise the airconditioner output. It is fine as it is but could be more aesthetic and also better controllable. A little desk (in addition to a portable dress hanger) would also make you attract business travellers. Overall I recommend the place and I would stay here again next time.

I traveled to Xiamen during the Chinese spring service with my dog and took a day trip to Kinmen Island, Taiwan, just off the coast. This hotel was in fact an apartment building with several management companies renting out rooms on various floors. Overall the building was in a horrendous state of disrepair. Initially, the front desk tried to put me into a room on the sixth floor which looked like a scene from a horror movie... Stains on floor, walls, dirt and garbage everywhere....I asked if this is the same room I booked and another female staff member moved me to the 9 th floor which was at least clean and updated, in the hall. The room was ok, and bed comfortable, but I've never stayed in a hotel that put sheets directly on the mattress without a minimal pad between... Luckily no bed bugs. The room had 3 out of 8 working lightbulbs so it was very dark. The heater didn't warm up the room even at max level running all day. Everything was old and dingy... Nothing like the photos I had no TV or Internet service the first day until I asked for it to be repaired. Overall, no maintenance is the problem.. But at least the woman at the front desk was helpful and kind That only real redeeming quality of the room was the view... But the window was so dirty, it was mostly obscured.

This is the landmark of the Xiamen city. View is superb and neighbourhood is nice with Lot of young people. I booked High Rise apartment but for some reason I got apartment in lover possible level. It’s more than 50 floor high building but I got room in 18th floor. As well room size was Not like described. I asked non smoking room but got room with smoke smell and ashtray was included. Bed was hard like stone and cinema asked for administrator. Check in needed calling for landlord and without any Chinese skills it may be difficult. As well landlord asked us to register ourselves thru app and it was as well only Chinese. Not easy for foreigners. After my complaint landlord gave another apartment what was in 50th floor and bed was much more softer. Thank you for that. Strange was that normal towels were not included. Instead of normal towels there were some strange disposable towel. Building himself is almost new but some mouldering is visible and that is not nice. As well the windows were a bit dirty.

Its a really small space. Owner is extremely understanding and made concession for my situation with regards to the refundable deposit. Washing machine is available but no dryer. There is no drying rack and the only drying line is outside a small side window where the beddings used by the previous guest was hang to dry (at least I know that the owner do change the bedsheet) and there does not seem to have any other place to hang your laundry to dry. The room faces west though so the sun will shine into the room in the afternoon. A collapsible laundry rack will be perfect here. Bed is up the narrow stairs and there are some cupboards beyond the bed but because the ceiling is very low, you'll have to crawl in to use them. The bed is very comfortable though. I had a good rest. The air-conditioner works great too, able to give warm air so once again, you can dry your clothes with the warm air mode turned on.
