Love the Portugese style art deco tiles, building and room decorations. Hotel feels and looks new, staff are great, always smile and accomodating. The bed is the biggest that I have experienced in a 5 star hotel, extra large king size bed and big room. It has a corner spa bath and a large shower with see through window to the bedroom. The pool is a feature of the hotel with art deco tiles and our room was facing the pool and beautifully lit at night. Exclusive to all Movenpick hotels, selection of chocolate pralines, mouse, cakes are served between 2-3pm at the Barrocco. The buffet breakfast selection is massive with made to order noodles and eggs, ice cream, banana french toast, fresh fruit such as longan, dragon fruit, pineapple, papaya, banana. Freshly made fruit juices and different types of cold teas was my favourite drink. The hotel is located on the north side of Patong and it takes about 10 minutes walk to Patong beach, one of the reasons to choose this hotel, don't really need taxi. There are massages, restaurants, stores that are walking distance from this hotel.

Everything was excellent. They even organise to decorate the room for my wife birthday on the day itself. It will be better if the hotel breakfast can cater to halal guest such as no pork

Cons: Poor front desk practices. The hotel practices very backward front desk policies. Instead of taking an impression of your credit card and processing the charges when needed, they charge 1000 baht/night to your credit card then process a refund with their bank upon checkout. The refund process takes 14 days. We were skeptical and asked for a refund slip which came completely in Thai. I wouldn't know even if they charged me another 4000 baht. Quite a bad policy which can be reviewed by management. WARNING SLOW CHECKOUT: Their check out process is extremely lengthy and they don't accommodate for express check out. They call their HOUSEKEEPING then guests are expected to wait for them to do a (long) check. The reception is unhelpful and doesn't have a map for tourists upon request. When asked for recommendations to do around the island, the staff at the front desk gave unprepared responses and lack of information. Location is so so. It's not on the beach and about a 5 min walk to the beach. The hotel doesn't practice the eco friendly practices they set. We made sure to put our towels on the towel rack so housekeeping wouldn't need to change it (as per the Hotel policy) however housekeeping still changed all 7 towels every single day. Pros: Room was clean and well maintained. The housekeeping was prompt and service staff were very well trained and polite and stopped to allow us to pass while greeting us. The pool is clean and very beautiful. I spotted them cleaning and maintaining it early in the morning on several occasions. Comfy plush beds and beddings we slept well every night.

酒店环境可以，但是服务态度非常的差，是非常 The hotel environment is OK, but the service attitude of the hotel is poor. I won't stay in the future. Even if the environment is good, I am really speechless about the service.

The room was beautiful with perfectly clean and comfortable beds like laying on a cloud. Service was pretty much perfect. Only two things i have to say was the time taken to check in took a little long and we waited for over 20 mins for our breakfast (eggs benedict and pad siew) to be served. Was very disappointed with the eggs benedict that only had half a muffin, one egg and a small slice of ham on the plate.

Very disappointed experience, totally not graded as luxury hotel. I booked for 4 days 3 night. First of all, nobody helped you for the luggage, you will be expected to your luggage to climb all the stairs. Once we entered the room and check the water, we found all water are yellowish, rusty kind of colour. We called for help, after waited for 20 minutes still had nobody come for checking. So I walked down to the front desk and request for another room. After awhile, they arrange a new room, however that room has no towel at all, we have to call again and ask for a full set of towel. The second day, there's still missing towel, only one. Very annoying and disappointing. If you're a smoker, you would love this hotel, because once you walked at the balcony, you will smell cigarette smell everywhere, people smoke at the pool side as well. Last but not least, we wrote an email to complaint about all the unpleasant experience, and poor amenities, the Front Office Manager Thanapon Srisuk offered us a compensation, guess what that is, a late checkout from 3pm to 4pm. OMG, what a sincere offer, this is ridiculous because, my flight is at 2:30pm, what would I need that late checkout, this Front Desk Manager didn't even ask what was my flight. Well I will never visit this hotel and not to mention the GM of this hotel was used to be at Michelin restaurant and what a poor management. NEVER NEVER visit this group again. Bonus: we accidentally met other guest from this hotel, they also had other issue, broken fridge etc. DO NOT ATTRACTED BY THE IMAGE. You can still walk at the lobby take few pictures without living there.
