Baan Laimai Patong Beach Resort

Not a 4 star resort and can't recommend even though price is reasonable and they had a nice decoration setup for me in the room. Pro - - Mostly friendly staff - Breakfast is 7-11 - Rooms are cleaned to high standard - Pool is mostly empty. - Close to the beach. Cons - - Don't expect to get much sleep as at 8am there is construction noise and till 1 am there is loud music and fireworks. - Don't bother using the laundry facilities even though it seems cheap because when something goes wrong or other people hog up the machines staff don't care to help. Even when told them I would complain they were unbothered. - Lots of loose floors boards along the pool area and lots of missing tiles inside the pool which is a health and safety hazard. - Stale/sewage smell outside the rooms and around parts of the pool. - They only have one weighing scale for luggage which you have to pay to use (never had this in any hotel in Thailand). - Don't use the hotel for taxis as they over charge you compared to grab. - Expect ants in the room. - Dirty balconies. Would not reccomend this resort based on the experience above.

The hotel has power outage on the Saturday from 11am to 5pm that I find is totally unacceptable. It is happen only to the block I stay and the hotel do not offer to at least move us to another block during the power outage. The hotel run out of tooth paste and tooth brush and we are asked to purchase one from convenient shop nearby. The hotel cla one of my guest took or lost the pyjamas in the wardrobe and fine him with 1000baht. My friend has never open the wardrobe during the entire stay..but he has no choice but being fined for something he never touch.

COULDN'T BE MORE DISAPPOINTED. Where to start?? They run "Happy Hour" from Noon till 5pm, so you have the drunks carrying on all afternoon in the pool areas. The screaming is loudly to hear in the lower level suites. At the same time construction work on the other side of my suite. On top of that, I happened to be very sick with failed kidneys and transferred to hospital ICU after my first night. BAAN declined to refund my already paid night AND charged me $90 for stains on the bed linen. I WILL STAY AWAY.

Good location, family friendly, very kind staff specially door men 🙏🏼☺️ 100% will stay in this hotel if I’m back to Phuket

My first trip to Phuket and it didn’t disappoint us with our selection to this nice hotel. As we are sensitive in making sure a great location yet some privacy and noise as I read some nearby hotels were badly affected by noises till late night We arrived to the hotel which I booked two rooms, I was surprised to be informed that our rooms were upgraded to suite ? Which I’m puzzled as their website does not have suite category so I’m curious and happy at the same time. We were brought into room 8404 & 8403 which is a different block and has a private deck area with the view of sunset and beach . There were only 4 rooms on our floor. Then I kind of realize that it was probably their old spa private rooms converted into guest rooms . As it’s slightly better , so they categorize as suite ? My suspect is that they have insufficient rooms so we are given special rooms I guess ,I took the room because it’s quiet and has nice paddock area with some privacy . The only cons is that I feel that the pool is not well maintained and clean to our standard hence we only use it for 1 night . We stayed for total 3 nights . Breakfast was above average and coffee was not the best . Having drinks at Heron their restaurant has better coffee quality and nice environment at night at the outdoor with good crowd almost every night Our bathroom WC has some bad odour so we have to close the door at all times. Bed was not the most comfortable but still able to sleep throughout the night . Overall with the price we paid is a fair take but certain areas can be further improved

Superior room does not have a great view at all for the price we paid. Best to pay more for a better view. Pool was fantastic. Wide selection for breakfast. Convenient location.

The location is great which is walking distance to all the popular tourist attractions, street market, etc. Bench is just across the road. The only shortcoming is required to pay $500B for late check out request per hour.

Had to extend another day and it all went smoothly. Very nice place

Pros: Perfect spot for easy walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and shopping. The beach is directly across the street as well. Great happy hour drinks. Breakfast is wonderful with lots of variety and seating. Cons: Other guests can be very loud and noisy from their balconies (playing music loudly at all hours of the day and night) and nothing is done to ensure the peace of the other guests.
