Belizean Nirvana

This place is absolutely stunning, we loved the decor and the complete home vibe. The staff were excellent! We highly recommend this stay if you are looking to relax with tons of restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. Thank you so much to the owners snd staff. My husband booked this resort based on reviews and they were 100% right. Barbra and Evan own and operate the 5 room beach front resort. And they have an *amazing* staff to help them. We stayed in Hybiscis, the king suite on the 2nd floor. It has a full kitchen, futon bed, dining room table for 6, and full bathroom in the main/great room. The master bedroom has its own French doors to the deck, full bathroom with jacuzzi tub and double sinks. So. Much. Space. Breakfast is served on the rooftop at 8am daily and was made by local kitchens fresh every morning. Fresh fruit and good coffee in abundance. The staff who served breakfast everyday got to know our family and our preferences in the most thoughtful way. On the early mornings when we were going to be on an excursion before 8am, they planned ahead and brought us breakfast the night before! Beach chairs had fresh towels every morning and staff checked in on us throughout the day. Bikes, paddle boards and kayaks all available anytime. No light pollution at night means star gazing from our deck or the beach. Safe location meant I felt like I could walk anywhere at night even alone. Just a 5 minute walk to several beach bars and restaurants and located just a short walk off the main WalkWay. This place is literally a Nirvana.

As you arrive, helping push your luggage cart down a concrete walkway past some very derelict properties, you may wonder precisely you’ve gotten yourself into. However at the end of that walkway is a very special place. Evan, the owner, and Miss Barbara, and all of their staff have created a magical place. As they opened the door I realized this is no mere hotel room, this is an elegantly appointed apar**ent with two bathrooms, a kitchen and open floor-plan living room and a full-width balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea. My wife and I didn’t have housing this nice until well after grad school. Hardwood floors, multi-angle showers, a jacuzzi tub. Not only was the room simply lovely, they had fresh flowers everywhere. Placencia is really one traffic road and one pedestrian walkway that runs parallel a block over towards the beach. Belizean nirvana is off the pedestrian walkway and directly on the beach. You can snorkel or kayak directly from the front of the property if you want to. Everything you might want to do during your stay you can walk to in under ten minutes (well, the nearest A** is maybe 25 minutes). We walked to every meal and walked to meet the boats for our diving/snorkeling excursions. Belizean nirvana even provides umbrellas in the room just in case (they work!). Everyone in town knows Evan and Barbara and greets you with a big smile when they hear where you’re staying. Each morning the staff serves a light breakfast on the rooftop patio. Boiled eggs, cheese, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal… one day they had chicken burritos. It was a great opportunity to chat with Evan and the other guests (many of whom are proudly repeat visitors). From the minute we got picked up at the air***** to the minute we had to say goodbye, we felt welcomed, appreciated, and at home. There’s just something about the Caribbean gently whispering on the sand as you doze on the big king bed at Belizean nirvana.

Spotless rooms with everything needed for a couples of family friendly beach get away in Placencia. The location is convenient and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The owners-Barbara and Evan perfect hosts. Parking is a little ways from the entrance to the Hotel due to no vehicle beach access but the staff are helpful with luggage and very responsive to calls and texts. The beach in November was surprisingly calm and pleasant. We can't wait to get back again next year to visit again.

One of the best and homey experience I had with my infant son. Everything was beautiful. Wish I had more time to enjoy the amenities. I'd highly recommend if you are traveling solo or with an infant child keep up the awesome job Nirvana!!

This Amazing hotel /Bed and breakfast was not only the nicest place we stayed at Belize. It was the nicest establish I've ever stayed in We stayed in the suite with a Jacuzzi tub and full kitchen. It was spotless. It was beautiful and the best point is it was steps to the ocean. They did an amazing job, keeping the Sargasm under control. The kitchen was nicer than my own kitchen back in the states the hosts were amazing The shower was outstanding, great water, pressure, and in any of the other places we stayed in Belize we had pretty terrible water pressure The rooftop breakfast was on point it was continental, but had everything you could possibly need the fresh fruit great they had some kind of homemade cheese that was also delicious and a bunch of other things They had free paddleboard and kayak rentals which me and my husband, both Made use of. I was pretty good at it. I was halfway to the golf of Mexico before I realize my husband was missing. Don't worry I found him later Or he found me rather, and he was not happy about it. Apparently, he had to a walk miles to find me, but I had a great time. lol. Any rate that was a really nice perk The front deck with the open doors had an amazing view of the Caribbean. It was perfect. To sum up this establishment PERFECT exclamation exclamation

What a wonderful stay! The staff were so kind and attentive, and owners Barbara and Evan were a wealth of information. The bed was super comfy, the continental breakfast was substantial, and you can't beat being right on the beach. I would recommend this place to anyone!

So good to be back for yet another great stay at Nirvana. Accommodation: 1st class. Location: 1st class. Staff: 1st class. This really is our happy place! Thanks once again to Evan, Barbara, Carolyn,Bricena, Levy and the girls for looking after us so well. There is not a better place to watch the sun come up than Namaste balcony. Can’t wait for our next trip!

Belizean Nirvana is the most amazing stay in possibly the most quaint, peaceful place I have ever been. The owners are wonderful, and the staff are ethe friendliest most thoughtful staff I have ever encountered. The facility is beautiful, and they have everything you could ask for. Breakfast changed everyday, and was always tasty, and fresh. Just steps from the beach and the walkway in the other direction, it is close to everything! The other guests were also wonderful, and for the most part, we made friends that will last beyond the stay. Not having ever been to Belize, even I February, having A/C is HUGE! The breeze from the beach is nice, but the room has A/C and several ceiling fans which moved the air nicely. The well appointed balconies were awesome! Ours had chairs and a hammock, and on the one rainy morning was my favorite spot to waste away the day! The owners were always friendly and attentive, and more than willing to share their knowledge of Placencia (which was amazing in it's own right). I could keep going, but suffice it to say, you can't go wrong with Belizean Nirvana OR Placencia (Tropic air was great too!) and I am already planning another stay this summer.
