Tom & John Center

Tsilivi has been a beloved destination of mine for years, coming here from being a young child, and Tom & John's Bar is a cherished part of that experience. I'm surprised to read some recent reviews about it not being family-friendly as that hasn't been my experience at all. In fact, after bringing my friends this year, both Eva and Yannis went out of their way to make my friends and I feel welcome and valued. The food was exceptional, and I'd highly recommend the delicious Tzatziki, which I truly believe is the best in all of Tsilivi.

My friends and I went to Tsilivi for 2 weeks in September 2024. The day we arrived we headed for Tom and Johns after checking into our hotel. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming from the moment we entered, both Yannis and Eva welcomed us quickly with a very friendly disposition. The food and cocktails were absolutely stunning, and considerably cheaper than what you'd pay for something similar in the UK. After our first trip to Tom and Johns, my friends and I decided it would be the go to place for lunch everyday, and so we made sure to return to Tom and Johns everyday for 2 weeks, enjoying the food, drinks, and the incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Reading other reviews I cannot understand how anyone could give a 1 star for this place. It is one of the best parts of tsilivi for me and my friends.

After coming here for many years I wanted to share an honest review. It's basic Greek but we have always had a lovely stay here. The accomodations is separate to the pool and bar (just across the road) which has never been an issue. We noticed last year that the couple running the bar seemed grumpy and just finding the smallest things to moan about, splashing in the pool, not buying enough drinks or food they just seem so miserable. The couple running the pool and bar are not associated with the accommodation they actually have their own apartments next to Tom and Johns (trente nova) this year after such an awful time we will not be returning to Tom and Johns pool bar (no issues with accommodation) as yannis and eva are quite frankly rude and miserable and should think about how to develop some manners and customer service, It's almost like you have been before so they just don't care you are back and treat you awful. This place has gone downhill over the last few years Avoid!!

The rooms were fantastic, cleaned every day. The only thing that let it down was that I left a pink jacket (my favourite) rang them to let them know as had arranged for someone to collect it in a few days. Did not hear anything back from them!!! A bit disappointed by this as everything else was good.

Not the best,pool bar only friendly if you spend lots of cash! Much better places to spend the day,better sunbeds and clean toilets as the toilets were vile at the pool bar,so many nicer places to spend your holiday with out having to spend money on over priced food and drinks

Good food. I had margarita pizza which was very cheesy!! Club sandwiches was good size. Cocktails very refreshing and tasty. Toilets abit gross. Nice that they have a pool too open to all customers. Lovely jokey staff who have a laugh with you.

A very unpleasant end to a great few days in Greece. My husband and I walked in and we were approached immediately by a young man telling me the pool area was only for those who had purchased from the bar to which i replied yes we are aware. I asked if we can go into the pool area with the drinks to which he replied yes. While my husband put our bags on the table I went off to use the toilet which the first young man was aware off. A older man who I now know was behind the bar burst into the toilet and told me this is for customers only. I replied yes we are buying drinks To which he said ok and left. That in itself is disgusting behaviour following females into toilets. This is really creepy behaviour from a grown man. I went and ordered 2 drinks from bar and sat down with my husband . My son in law and daughter and their baby soon walked in and said they were putting their things on the table and then would buy their drinks Next thing the young guy came over to me and told us we had to go and gave me my money back. I asked him why . He kept telling us to go despite the fact we were seated and had ordered drinks . The older man soon joined in and told us to go despite us asking why. No explanation was given. He started calling me a “Gypsy” very loudly and laughing at the same time. This was continually repeated. We have no idea as to why this behaviour towards us but it was a disgusting way to treat tourists and the fact that he thinks it ok to barge into a toilet after females is appalling behaviour in itself.

Popped in to Tom and John’s pool bar which is part of the hotel, as it’s advertised for the public if buying drinks, which we had every intention of doing. My mother in law was burst in on by a man in the toilet and accused of using the facilities without buying a drink. When I arrived shortly afterwards with my wife and baby I was accosted by a young man with a terrible mustache. Upon asking him if we could take a seat he informed me the pool was not for everyone. I asked him what he meant and he just repeated “It’s not for everyone”, “it’s not for you” An old man at the bar then got involved and angrily said the same thing even though it was clear we wanted to buy drinks. At this point I’d had enough and told my wife we were going elsewhere. We went to the parents in law’s table to tell them and the young man with the terrible mustache came and gave them back the money for the drinks they had ordered and told us all to get out. Obviously we were not impressed and when the mother in law asked them what on earth their problem was the old man started calling her a “gypsy lady” repeatedly. She is not a gypsy and I find this very offensive to gypsies. They refused to tell us what their problem was and just kept calling us gypsies. The whole thing was just so absolutely perplexing. I’d really love to know what their beef was. I think they are just so paranoid about people using the pool without buying anything, they greet everyone like this. Also, from reading other reviews it seems they have a deep seated hatred of children and clearly didn’t like the look of my 11 month old. There’s genuinely something wrong with these people, it wasn’t normal. Coincidentally after our visit the pool bar disappeared from Google maps and now says permanently closed which it isn’t

I walked in with my husband and baby to meet my mum and dad. My husband and I split up and I asked a staff member if I could put my stuff down before ordering a drink (I had my baby and bag in my arms).I knew the rule about using the pool only if buying from the bar. Staff member kicked me and my baby out. I was in shock as I had no idea why, I was about to order a drink. The other three people in the group may write another review about how they were treated. Appalling behaviour.
