Absolutely stunning resort, with amazing staff. Great food, amazing drinks. The spa is excellent, so great I went twice! We were always welcomed by everyone. Elvis, Cristian, Esmeralda, Darlene and Elkin made our vacation that much more memorable. Will definitely be back to make more memories in this beautiful place with all of the beautiful staff members.

Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. Paradisus is the ideal mix of luxury and comfort in harmony with excitement and fun. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the staff were accommodating and professional. AND THE FOOD!! they have everything to feed your voracious appetite. If you are going to Playa del Carmen this is where you want to be - Bar None.

Overall the property was very well kept. Several dining options with plenty of variety for a week long stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating however wait times for service at certain restaurants were longer than expected. Our concierge, Carlos, was very welcoming and helpful to get us settled our first day on the property. He was eager to check in with us periodically throughout our stay and make sure we had what we needed to have a relaxing vacation. One major downside to our experience at this resort was the push of sales on our first day and throughout the stay. We were approached by multiple staff members to partake in the Melia Rewards program which simply just isn’t a good fit for our travel lifestyle. Generally, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying with Paradisus again!

Paradisus La Perla was a real disappointment.
- property needs updating:paint peeling everywhere
All furniture mismatched and outdated
-Major language barrier with staff. Staff barely knew any english. They could not understand anything you asked for
-Power keeps going out in room, therefore affects the air conditioning. They didn’t believe us when we told them.
-Rude employees, including front desk. The front desk should be setting the example….
Being told NO from a bartender,when asking for a beverage
- Resort definitely needs to spend some money on extermination. Spiders in sitting areas, ants in room.
-Buffets: do not eat at those. Food barely edible. Food leftover from lunch , sitting out for hours, and served again at dinner.
We are extremely disappointed and will not return.

The service was amazing, especially the poolside servers. Angel and Elvis made sure we had plenty to eat and drink and they made the whole experience wonderful!
