Hotel Grand Holiday

We stayed at the Hotel Grand Holiday for the whole of our week in Pokhara and really enjoyed our stay. We had a room with a wrap around balcony with a view of both the mountains and the lake - though unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind when we were there so we couldn’t really see the views! There is also a comfortable roof terrace which is a lovely place to sit with a beer and watch the sunset. The owner Janak and Hari were amazingly kind and helpful, arranged lots of fantastic activities for us via their company ABC Trek and Tours (reviewed separately), but also gave us great recommendations for things to do and good places to eat around Pokhara. That said, the dal bhat and Nepali thakali we had at the hotel were among the best we ate on our entire trip, and their tomato ko achar is one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten (they kindly arranged for me to see how it is made, so I will be making it myself at home and adding it to everything!). They also arranged a car for us at very short notice to get us to Bardia when our flight was cancelled due to poor visibility. We received excellent service from everyone at the hotel for the whole of our stay and will definitely stay there if we ever visit Pokhara again.

It was my first time to stay at Pokhara. The staff and the owner are very helpful & kind. They gave me suggestions for nearby restaurants and also rebooked my flight. The room is very cozy with great view from the window. I will definitely come back!!

Great location, great views from the room and an amazingly friendly host! The owner was very helpful throughout our trip, helped us book bus, taxis and tours. I’ve had previous bad experience booking things in Nepal, but these people were genuine with offering what they said! I will come back here.

The room were found to be warm and cozy protecting us from the winter chillness.. and the staffs are way too friendly and have a pleasing attitude.. that wouldn't made u feel, you are away from home.

It's great hotel to stay ..it's near Lake and view was awesome from room. And the most imp is the chief they cooked very tasty food ...we love all the things there..and the behaviour of the staff and manager also very good.

Hasn’t changed much since I last visited 10 years ago. Great service from the staff and Manager. Excellent breakfast and dinner, I’d recommend the sizzler, but close to the Lake and lots of restaurants. They can arrange taxis, excursions, etc.

Visited with family and stayed 3 days. Owner of the hotel Mr Janakji is extremely polite, helpful and courteous and so is the staff. Location is good and view from the balcony is great. Best as a budget hotel with all amenities. Mr Janak's reference also helped us get a hotel when we were at Kathmandu. Hotel does not have a lift but that can be ignored considering the location, onwer's exceptional politeness, price of the room and view from the balcony.

Wow what a great place to stay in the this great Hotel "Grand Holiday". Its entirely safe. Great neighborhood allies. The road name is Peaceful Road which certainly justifies the reality of the location. Its just beside the Pokhara's famous Phewa lake side. The rooms are adequate, superbly clean,all time hot water and wifi. The hotel staff are great to the extreme. They are so helpful and smiling always. May be its a budget hotel but you get every other comfort of a 3 or 4 star here. They have their own restaurant and the food is so good. They have their own travel and tracking agency who will give you a better budget compare to outsider and they keep their promised offers accordingly. The hotel is kids friendly. I had stated here five night its just an amazing experience. The hotel's mountain view room will fulfill your desire to look and cherish the view if the mountain even entire day. The most beautiful part is the rooftop itself. If you are lucky to have a sunny day you would get the most spectacular view of Annapurna range. And you might not be feeling alike not to move but to soak the sun kiss and melted in the gentle cold breeze coming from the mountain. The blue sky. Alongside lake and the garden on the rooftop will give you feel like you are at the doorstep of the heaven. I thanks the hotel management best of luck to keep up the good work.
