The room rate is on the high side, doubtless influenced by the fact that there’s not much competing accommodation in Polis. There is a restaurant on the ground floor where check-in takes place, with a small and slow lift to the handful of first floor rooms. After hours return to the rooms is via some fairly steep outside stairs to an elevated entry door at the rear of the property. Not sure that the hotel would work well for the mobility impaired. Our room was clean and of a decent size. The small bathroom was behind a pocket door with a somewhat rickety shower door, but serviceable enough. Selecting a rate on the hotel's web site with breakfast included would have added €25 per person to the bill, so I’m unable to say what breakfast my wife and I would have enjoyed for €50. Instead, a very short walk took us to Saddles Cafe and Bar where we had an excellent breakfast at half the price. There is parking on rough ground at the back of the property but the ledge to access it from the road was high, so in our low slung car we chose to use public parking in front of the hotel. At check-in we were asked not to leave the car there overnight, but there was no signage to that effect and we had no problem in doing so.
