Poole Centre (Holes Bay)

Overnight stay at Premier Inn which I expect to be clean and fresh. Sorry to say that this inn has definitely seen better days. Stayed at Gatwick on many occasions with no complaints. There was a disabled lady ahead of me in the queue to check in. She had asked for an ‘easy to access room and instead had been put on the top floor ( 2nd floor accessed through lift to the first and then stairs to the 2nd! Staff not very helpful or sympathetic. I offered my room but was given short shrift!! I also struggle with stairs but felt not as disabled. On the way back decided to have the meal deal. Great if you don’t mind cold scampi and lack lustre chips with NO tartar sauce!! Breakfast lots available but even though I went in just after 6.30an it was… yes COLD. This was not a cheap option for an overnight stay so RNLI here I come.

We’ve stayed at many premier inns over the past couple of years and was looking forward to staying here again but in an accessible room on this occasion. Unfortunately it was nowhere near as good as other locations. The room was a whole lot smaller which was not ideal. Having stopped in a normal double room the previous month, that room was definitely bigger. My husband is in an electric wheelchair and the lack of space both in the room itself and the bathroom, made it very difficult to move around. The bed was comfortable but very low which was a problem when trying to transfer. The staff were friendly and helpful in providing extra pillows when needed. Car park was quite big so plenty of spaces available. Overall it was ok but wouldn’t stay here again if I needed to book an accessible room.

Rhiannon is a superstar. She exudes customer service and cannot be more helpful , having booked one night with business and the following night for myself, I arrived to discover that the bookings put me in two different rooms. Rhiannon shuffled through the bookings made a call and found me a room I could have for both nights. No moving out and in to another room and all the hassle that comes with it. Well done Rhiannon, Premier Inn have an asset in you

Firstly, it is important to say that I still like Premier Inns and will choose them when a budget hotel is required. However, this one does feel a bit tired. Yes, the beds are supremely comfortable as the adverts say, but the decor is a bit knocked about. More importantly, there is no air-conditioning and even on a cool day our room was stiflingly hot so we had to open the window. This meant that we got all the early morning noises from about 3-4 am from people leaving to catch the ferries, so almost no sleep at all. The bathroom is poor with only a fixed head shower over the bath, so not easy to use. Finally, housekeeping need to look up as well as down when cleaning to ensure cobwebs and dust are got rid of. All in all, the hotel needs an upgrade, especially as the most expensive in the Bournemouth Poole area. The attached Table Table is good for breakfast and evening meals, with mostly friendly service.

Lovely friendly staff in reception. Room a bit tired looking but ok. Checked in really hungry, went to their restaurant, unfriendly staff, terrible cold food, child’s meal was inedible , so I gave him half my fish, because I ate half my fish they would not address my comments regarding their food. I am a chef, I felt like they should know how dreadful their food is.We had to order at the bar, fetch cutlery, tell them when we had finished courses, fetch condiments, then they expect you to get up in the middle of eating to find them and tell them your food is awful.Still charging restaurant prices for serve yourself. Dreadful experience, they made me feel like it was my fault that their food was awful.

Very comfortable stay. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly. Service was quick. The restaurant next door was very good. Although we did not use it on this occasion, but have done in the past.

stayed for several nights and the room was unbearably hot. I had to take the room key card out of the socket to stop hot air being blown into the room. Staff walking back to their quarters kept on slamming the fire door shut and banging their door. I left very tired. Room was comfy, but the pub is tired and food mediocre.

Holes Bay is a great location and rooms are predictable wherever you are normally. On this occasion the double room was not very clean, extra towels had to be requested for the two of us, only one arm chair in the room and a single bedside table rather than ne each side. And it cost over £100 per night!! Hardly a budget hotel any more!!

Clean, comfortable hotel, welcoming staff. Good breakfast, decent evening meal. Exactly what we needed on this trip.
