The Ox has great curb appeal but not very welcoming on entering, it felt abandoned and we had to look for someone to check us in. The room was spacious and clean but definitely needs some work, a lot of cracks in the plaster and missing grouting in bathroom. The room was cold when we entered but didn’t take long to warm up when the radiator was turned on, lots of condensation around the windows and curtains damp by morning.
A comfy night and only minor tweaks to make it great 😊 The free parking on site was a definite bonus!

Reasonable cost, friendly staff. Comfortable stay with extras including tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries in the bathroom.

Part of the reason for staying was for the breakfast which we were only told on arrival that it was no longer available, no offer of a refund or any compensation

It was unique in the fact that there were bed bugs in my room. The manager wasn’t there in the morning and I was given a fake email address to contact her to discuss the matter further.

The property was quaint and cute. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I can see when the property was new, it was very nice. Just seems it’s a little tired and worn. Needs a refresh.

The Service was amazing and breakfast was excellent I would recommend to anyone who is stopping overnight to take the ferry from Poole or returning, staff were friendly an welcoming, with a sound can do attitude
