Good- Clean rooms, nice clean pools and close to the sea and shops. Many non alcoholic cocktail options for kids/non alcoholics at the pool bar. Hotel shop for essentials. The food you pay for at the pool bar is delicious and much better quality than buffet food as expected. Bad- very limited options for vegetarians like myself and I got bored very quickly with breakfast and dinner, basically no vegan options and a tiny gluten free section. No detail in the signs, many dishes have meat in and doesn’t say on the sign. I found what looked to be a small bone in my ‘grilled vegetables’, I found a piece of bacon on my fried egg, all the bacon is fried on the same grill as the fried eggs so the bacon fat dripping off the bacon is going onto the eggs. The grabbers to pick up the cheese were covered in tuna and even the potato’s had a bacon taste to them. Don’t think I spotted any vegan options at the pool bar and for some reason the vegetarian sandwich didn’t come with chips yet the chicken one did even though they are the same size. Not very friendly staff, no to a late checkout even by an hour/half an hour, no to using hotel showers after you’ve checked out in the morning, no to using other Plava Laguna hotel showers even though we were told we can go to the other hotels as they are part of a chain. Anyone under 18 can’t even buy a sprite when putting it on the room without parent having to sign, staff told off children for just running around playing games even though it’s a family hotel, can only pay cash or put it on room- no card. Not a good vibe as a whole, no proper entertainment for the hotel except from tribute acts so in the evenings I would go outside of the hotel. No smoking areas so everyone is smoking on the sun beds and outside the bar and at the pool bar all day.
