Wow! Everything about this trip was amazing. The accommodation is first rate, I thought when it said Main Lodge you'd be staying in rooms next to one another, but thankfully I was wrong. You have your own apar**ents (minus a kitchen - which isn't needed). You have stunning views from all angles, even when in the shower you can get lost in the scenery. The food was great, with lots of choices on offer throughout the day. The staff are extremely friendly and will do anything they can to assist you. The Safari:- Crumbs - it was breath-taking, you get quite close to the animals at some points without disturbing them, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very sympathetic to the animals needs and wants. Hopefully some of my pictures will give you an idea of how magnificent it is.

Had an excellent Safari holiday at Settlers Drift. Very knowledgeable guide on the drives, animals sighted exceeded expectations including lions and cheetahs. Accommodation very good with views of the plain. Staff very friendly and helpful

Be prepared for early mornings and cold temperatures at the start and end of the day. Our guide Brendon was very knowledgeable and good company. All the staff were friendly. The food was all good. Kind of buffet style. Help yourself. We had a lovely visit.

Our experience at Settlers Drift was truly unforgettable. The lodge is absolutely stunning, providing incredibly spacious accommodations with beautiful views. The food was exceptional, featuring fresh and diverse menus daily. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our stay, even surprising my husband with a birthday cake and song. We enjoyed every safari drive, which offered some great game viewing opportunities. I would recommend Settlers Drift to anyone seeking an extraordinary bush getaway. The boat transfer from the jetty was a memorable highlight, adding to the excitement of arriving at the lodge. My only regret is not staying an extra night or two.

Went to Settlers Drift as part of our honeymoon. From start to finish the service and experience was exceptional! The game drives were amazing, Richard, our guide, his knowledge was above and beyond, and we had the most amazing experiences seeing so many animals. The best moment was seeing Cheetah and 2 cubs swimming across the river!!

Cannot rate the staff, facilities and my experience of Kariega Game Reserve high enough. I had an amazing 4 day stay at the property and did not want to leave. Each drive was an adventure and on our return each time we were welcomed backed to the lodge by the team. Our guide Forest was amazing, had real passion for the animals, their well being and conservation. Would definitely recommend a stay at Kariega Game Reserve.
