The Outrigger is an oasis in paradise. Peter and Amanda are magnificent hosts who are more than happy to help with anything if required. The units were comfortable and well equipped, the pool was just beautiful, and all of this was in a very peaceful setting, only a 5 minute walk to Port Douglas's magnificent beach, restaurants, supermarket and shopping *****. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a great time staying at the Outrigger. The accomodation was very spacious, clean, quiet and was an easy walk to the main street and beach. The owners are the most lovely couple, super welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We had an issue getting to an attraction and Amanda sorted it out for us on the spot, we would have been stuck without her! We didn't want to leave!

From day one to last day of 10 excellent does not describe the welcome, the entire resort ,every need catered for all these things excellent was not enough . As older couple we appreciated the total friendship the attention without being overdone Recommend resort to all In all our years of travel no better hosts than Amanda and Peter.Carol and Damien June 2024

We had the best time staying at Outriggers - the hosts Amanda and Peter are the most wonderful, welcoming managers who were incredibly helpful when choosing tours and activities. We felt incredibly safe and comfortable throughout our stay and the apartment itself had all of the amenities needed for a 10 day trip - including a washer and dryer! The pool was beautiful and everything was clean and well maintained. Will definitely be staying here again if we come back up to Port Douglas! - Katie

Situated in a perfect location. Had all the amenities you could have possibly needed. Amanda and Peter were welcoming and so helpful with booking any of the tours we wanted to do, they really took the hassle and stress out of it all. Would gladly come back. Fantastic experience

Great location near centre of Port Douglas, very clean and equipped with all that’s required for a short term to long term stay. The host Amanda & Peter were most welcoming and very willing to provide every support and they made our holiday a beautiful couple they are and yes would stay again when the time comes. Fantastic 10 days at Port Douglas Outrigger. Our unit was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Peter and Amanda Owner Managers provided outstanding service. They met us on arrival and personally escorted us onto our bus on departure. Peter and Amanda arranged all our tours and advice on things to see and places to eat they were available whenever needed and were a wealth of information. The pool is beautiful and nice temperature for a relaxing swim. The Outrigger is located a short walk to centre of town, marina and the beach. Apartment was clean, pool area was lovely and Peter and Amanda were very helpful, welcoming hosts. It is walking distance to beach, cafes and shops. The kitchen was well stocked but only one toilet roll and one sachet of clothes detergent for an eight night stay. I would stay here again and recommend to friends.

The Outrigger apartments in Port Douglas is a fabulous place to stay. Our hosts, Amanda and Peter, are the BEST! So warm, friendly, and generous with their time. They make all guests feel so welcome and special. We met our daughter, son-in-law, and our 10-year-old grand-twins there for a weeklong holiday. They live in Australia while we live in the US. We stayed in two nearby apartments -- which was just perfect. Port Douglas was the ideal location from which to explore the Daintree Rainforest, go snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, see crocodiles in the wild, fish for barramundi, and visit Kuranda with Birdworld and its Skyrail gondola. The Outrigger's location is very walkable to virtually all Port Douglas restaurants, shops, and town activities -- such as the ANZAC Day Parade we were fortunate to see. The grandkids also loved spending hours playing in the pool. Plus, we really appreciated having a washer/dryer in our unit. Everything worked great and we hope love to return in the future. Best hosts ever!
