Plaza Real by Atlantichotels

Very cute and chic place, we enjoyed the pool very much and will definitely be returning and recommending friends.

Best is the space in the apartment and the pool is reasonably accessible. But apartments were not updated. Signs of the oven were worn off, so not sure how it supposed to work and neither reception person could resolve and quite old equipment's including the beds in the apartment. So do not expect comfort with any furniture available. Worst is the breakfast offered. It's not clean, too small choice and things run out. So mostly end up having only the coffee in there. Sausages were literally inedible and seems lowest quality food provided there including cereals which kids refused to have after first time. Customer service within the Plaza Real Atlantichotels is "stay if you want, or leave". So I do not recommend.

Prima kwaliteit verhouding voor een kort verblijf in Praia da Rocha. Was al eerder in de accomodatie geweest, dus wist wat ik kon verwachten. Tijdens verblijf van zes dagen / 5 nachten geen schoonmaak en geen wissel van handdoeken is niet ok. Trainingscomplex van voetbalclub Portimonense ligt direct achter complex. Voor de liefhebber.

Só posso dizer bem do espaço. Um apartamento com sala, quarto, cozinha e wc. Todas as habitacoes com tamanhos consideraveis. Gostei muito. Excelente relação qualidade preço. De certeza a repetir

This is our fourth stay at Plaza Real. It's a really lovely, friendly place. The apartments are so big and well equipped kitchen wise. Cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and a fold down table with 2 stools. Lounge has a large table and chairs, bed settee, sideboard, wall mirror and tv. Bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space, 2 single beds and a dressing table with mirror. Bathroom has shower over bath, sink, toilet and bidet. As we've been four times now we know exactly what we're getting and as we arrive it's like 'coming home' It's a self catering facility but has an excellent bar/restaurant run by Bruno, Matilde, Brun's wife, Alexis and Phillip. The food is amazing for a small'ish bar and our favourite is and will always be the 'Plaza Real beefburger' A must try for any meat eater. All the staff are really friendly and most speak English very well. Breakfast can be purchased on a booking system either, a full cooked or continental to suit. The pool is quite big with a separate kiddies pool with loungers and umbrellas. The main *****/beach is a 15 minute walk away or a few minutes in a taxi for about 5€. The beach is accessed by a pathway as it's quite a bit lower than the main road. Just enjoy yourselves because as sure as eggs is eggs we will be going back for a 5th visit ;) Obrigard!

Beautiful hotel very comfortable beds & very clean apartments, pool area always kept spotless. Gent running the bar, Marco?? I think his name was, very polite & professional. Treated every guest like they were the only guests there. Varied entertainment every evening silent disco was absolutely hilarious. Food menu basic but plenty variety. Only 10-15 mins walk to Praia Da Rocha beach and about same in other direction to huge shopping centre. Excellent location would 100% recommend.

Such a friendly place, Bruno at the bar, his family and friends make you feel at home. Try some of the homemade food it's so good especially the Portuguese pork. Will definitely go back there in the future to catch up with my new friends. The rooms are clean and spacious, balcony in room 101 is massive. For the price I paid this place is faultless.

We had a fabulous week in these apartments. The rooms are spacious and were very clean. There is no maid service included but you can pay extra for that if you wish ( we didn’t bother). The location was perfect for us. It was a 10 minute walk to the main ***** of shops, restaurants, beach etc. It is down hill so be prepared for the slight incline on the way home especially if you have lots of shopping! But it’s not too steep. Our apartment over looked a football training facility which our 7yr old loved but if not into football you may want a room on the other side. The staff were very friendly and the food in the bar was fabulous. The only reason I rated it 4/5 was because the pool needs a bit of TLC and there were tiles missing from the bottom which could be sharpe but we did go out of season so this maybe something that will be fixed before the holiday season starts.

Wouldn't stay again because of the deposit situation, firstly £200 is alot. I paid ours by debit card as I didn't want 200 euros handing to me at the end of the holiday. I saw the payment come out on my statement and thought no more of it. Expected my money refunded back the end of the week. What they don't tell you is that they put the money back in within 24 hours of you arriving but the transaction won't actually show on your statement anymore. Your balance will just increase and you won't realise where the money came from, so in my case it ended up getting spent! So 200 more than I budgeted for and yet no one even checks your room! Literally no one came and checked our room once, there isn't even a maid service so what even is the point of the deposit. Anyway let's move on to pros - We had a huge ground floor apartment with a very spacious balcony, biggest we've ever had which we were very grateful for. Apartment was clean with plenty of beds, extra pillows, utensils, fridge, microwave, cleaning equipment, toaster,oven. Bathroom with bath and shower. We had air con, modern tv with English channels, watched a few new blockbuster movies but wish we'd brought a fire stick. Nice pool area with kids pool. Didn't eat or drink at the bar but looked lively and welcoming. Beautiful beach nearby with some lovely bars overlooking it. Slide and splash water park is a must if you have children. No queues this time of year! Bonus. Nearby lidl and aldi (next door to each other) to do a big self catering shop. Stayed 7-14th October weather was glorious apart from the last day which was overcast. Also should give Taffy's bar and grill a mention, Welsh owners with lovely food and very cheap compared to the other restaurants. Cons - Deposit as mentioned No cleaner or fresh towels (didn't really mind this) but I know some people will. Our apartment was facing the football field at the back with loud music (some absolute tunes to be fair) but the football matches were loud and could go on until pretty late some days. Rooms not sound proof (again didn't bother me as I always take ear plugs) All in all I got a bargain for a family of 5 and had a glorious week of weather in a clean spacious apartment. If it wasn't for the deposit I would of rated my stay higher Tips - take a small bottle of washing up liquid and a sponge to save you buying these. Also take a little bottle of cooking oil if you intend on having a fry up or you'll end up leaving a barely touched huge bottle behind. I forget this every single time and it annoys me greatly, hopefully writing this will help me remember next time ha ha.
