Mute Porto Covo

This hostel is a real gem. I and my wife Kathryn enjoyed 3 nights in Mute and I have to say I was seriously impressed. The location is simply fabulous with the ocean right on the doorstep, and superb, easily accessible coves a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was a real treat, and the staff were so helpful and accomodating. We stayed in room number 1 that was perfect for our needs and opened out directly to the lovely sun lounge and pool area. A perfect place to relax after a days walking, swimming or shopping in the busy town centre. Overall a really positive experience for someone like me who, at (hopefully a young) 73 years of age had never stayed in a hostel before. Thais does one of the best caipiroskas I've tried, fantastic! Great sunset views with good dj music and atmosphere Pizzas to complement drinks and great Grom icecreams, best place in town to see sunset and good vives

{PT} É ótimo para quem não gosta de dormir e para gosta de um mau atendimento. O quarto não tem isolação nenhuma, não conseguíamos adormecer com o barulho e acordávamos as 7 e meia com o barulho dos funcionários logo pela manhã. Os funcionários namoriscavam os clientes. Este é um verdadeiro hostel que aparenta ser hotel. {ENG} It’s great for those who don’t like to sleap and for those who like bad employees. The room doesn’t have sound isolation to the hall and it was hard to fall a sleep with all the noise the other guests and employees were making and woke up at 7 a.m with employee’s noise in the morning. The employees were always flirting with the clients and there was always kinda hippie enviroment. This is actually an hostel masked as an hotel.

They say the hotel is sustainable, but how is that possible when the furnishings are mostly Ikea materials? In addition, the finish is worthless. Poor quality sanitary facilities. The door to the hotel has to be opened by force because it is jammed. The room is much too small for two adults. Breakfast is very bad. The only positive thing is that the staff is friendly.

Estive hospedada 3 noites e confesso que as expectativas eram altas devido aos ótimos reviews que observei antes de reservar. Já no check in fui surpreendida com o quarto pronto antes do previsto, portanto pude guardar minhas malas e já começar a usufruir do espaço. Todos os ambientes são agradáveis e acolhedores e a limpeza também estava ok. A tarde/ noite pude usufruir do bar, que por sinal tem uma vista incrível para o mar, lindíssima para assistir o pôr do sol. Quero apenas deixar um agradecimento especial a Mariela que sempre foi tão gentil e prestativa, além disso, me fez ótimos ovos no pequeno-almoço.

Hier geweest voor een lunch. We kregen gelijk te horen dat het lang kon duren want ze waren heel erg druk, dit terwijl de halve zaak leeg was. De drankjes, blikjes frisdrank, konden we niet alvast krijgen, die kwamen later met het eten. We wilde graag op de 1 verdieping vanwege het mooie uitzicht. Daar waren ook nog genoeg tafeltjes vrij maar nog niet afgeruimd. We kregen een beeper mee, zodat we het eten en drinken zelf beneden op konden halen als het klaar was. Bij het ophalen zaten een aantal personeelsleden op hun telefoon of achter de DJBooth. De blikjes frisdrank kregen we zonder glas of rietje. Erg jammer allemaal, maar het is een mooie locatie en het eten was goed, veel ruimte voor verbetering dus.

Falta de profissionalismo, fizemos o pedido às 14h 45 e disseram-nos que a cozinha estaria fechada quando está escrito na ementa que o horário é até às 15h. Depois deste episódio ainda houve dois grupos a receber a comida e um deles certamente chegou depois de nós…

Posizione dell’ostello fantastica! Affaccia sull’oceano e dal rooftop si gode di un panorama fantastico, nonché del tramonto. Il personale è super gentile e carino. Le camere sono un po’ strette, ma accettabili. Buona anche la colazione. Lo consiglio.

Prima tappa del Trilho dos Pescadores, che ci ha condotti da Sines a Porto Covo. L’ostello si presenta come una costruzione moderna ed all’apparenza piuttosto recente, con una splendida vista sull’oceano; sia gli spazi interni che quelli esterni appaiono molto curati e piuttosto raffinati. Una volta entrati, ci accoglie un’ampia lounge arredata modernamente, con comodi e spaziosi divani e grandi vetrate che rendono l’ambiente molto luminoso ed estremamente piacevole e rilassante. Abbiamo prenotato in un dormitorio con 4 posti letto, distribuiti su 2 letti a castello; presenti anche gli armadi e cassetti ricavati sotto il letto inferiore, con gli spazi equamente ripartiti tra gli occupanti della stanza. Stanza piuttosto piccola, con un ridotto spazio vitale; bagno condiviso tra le diverse stanze, con interni molto curati, efficienti docce a pioggia, ed amenities di qualità. Set di asciugamani disponibile, anch’esso di buona qualità. Patio esterno con piccola piscina (una goduria immergersi nell’acqua fresca dopo le fatiche del Trilho) e lettini sui quali accomodarsi a prendere un po’ di sole; a disposizione degli ospiti, un ampio rooftop, dal quale godersi la vista dell’oceano e del tramonto. Personale giovane e molto disponibile, anche se leggermente impacciato.
