The Editory Garden Baixa Hotel

The ROOM is not user-friendly. The spaces inside are not well distributed. The hangers don't fit well in the "open wardrobe", the AC can't be controlled, the water pressure from the sink is very low and the coffee machine inside the drawer is almost hidden inside. The LOCATION is good if you plan to go to city center (bolhao market) but not convenient if you wish to go to Ribeira by waking. The entrance to the parking space (20€ per night) is very tiny and not easy to access; they didn't park the car for us as most hotels do. For 1 night we had no hot water and we had to take cold shower. We didn't receive any welcome kit (usually they give you a sweet, a small pastel de nata, but they didn't to us). Breakfast is a small buffet with limited options. The entire experience at this hotel is definitely not worth the money they charge p/night, roughly 125€. Not recommended 2/5

My partner and I had a great stay at The Editory Garden in Porto! We stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved our experience. Very clean, beautiful, and modern rooms/facilities. Far enough away from the busy parts of Porto to avoid crowds, but close enough for a 10-15 minute walk to the main areas. Staff were also very nice and helpful. AC wasn’t working in the beginning but was immediately fixed after notifying the front desk. Would 100% recommend anyone staying in Porto to stay here.

The most amazing hotel and experience. It was my partners birthday whilst we were away and the staff went above and beyond to help make our stay extra special. The most incredible time. Thank you so much. Ideal location and stunning setting.

A wonderfully modern hotel with good facilities and a beautiful courtyard. It is very new and clean. The location is good and central, but at the same time not too touristy and you can reach the Douro in 15-20 minutes (on foot). There is also a good breakfast and special requests (vegan) are catered for. Due to the newness of the hotel (I assume), most of the staff are still quite inexperienced, which is sometimes very noticeable. English was also a problem for some. But it didn't detract from the enjoyable stay. The hotel bar needs to be stocked up!!

Beautiful amenities, highlight is the outdoor garden. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast options. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Close to many of the tourist spots. You will love Porto if you decide to go, and this was a great location and experience!

Nice hotel and in a quiet area. Nice and clean, staff at reception were lovely and helpful and pastel de natas lovely touch when you arrive. The bar manager was not so friendly and accomodating. We struggled to get drinks at the bar most evenings. Saturday evening was the worst experience we asked for a drink at 10.40 the reception guy went to find someone. A young girl came and took our order.. 10 mins and still no drinks at 11pm the bar manager came and said we could not be served, we politely asked why he said its 11pm can not serve you. Then said he was busy. We only wanted a glass of wine before bed. The bar may be in hotel but its never staffed in evening. This ruined our lovely evening. The next day he offered us complimentary breakfast which we declined.
