We had reservations for two rooms at this hotel for 7 & 8 October 2023, which were booked and fully paid for a month in advance. Unfortunately, on 6 October, the hotel canceled one of our room reservations, citing a credit card issue. We found this confusing, as the payment had been processed successfully for both rooms. Our attempts to communicate with the hotel staff were challenging, as there was a language barrier, which made resolving the situation even more frustrating. Furthermore, our experience with the management left much to be desired. We felt that the focus was solely on monetary matters, and the trea**ent we received was less than hospitable. It's puzzling how this establishment has earned a four-star rating. In addition to these concerns, the hotel's location was quite inconvenient, making it necessary to spend extra money on transportation to access the beach. In summary, we had a highly unsatisfactory experience at this hotel, and if given the option, we would rate it poorly. We encountered issues with our reservation, communication, management, and location. We would strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodations when visiting Positano.
