It's sometimes hard to determine when a place should be 4 or 5 stars when it seems to fall somewhere between. I would say this was a 4.5, but I'm giving it a 5 starts because Jean-Paul was a great host. The house is a wonderful, old, charming structure which could use a little bit of touch up here and there, mostly on the exterior, but still a very nice, older, traditional manse. Everything is kept clean. The grounds are lovely. A lot of room for kids to run around on, some nice spots for pique-niquing and waking, watching the sun set or stars at night, and a nice pool. The room was slightly small but fine. We were 3 and there was a small attached room with a single bed where my daughter stayed that was fantastic. The only problem was that, while the sink and shower were en-suite, the toilet was in the hall, a bit tricky to get to in the night (with raised wood thresholds to trip over and uneven floors). The breakfasts were simple but decent - choice of some breads, juice, coffee, and basic meat and cheese choice. Jean-Paul was great - practical, helpful, knowledgeable of the area and made some great suggestions which were highlights of our stay in the area.

They have a super cute and very well behaved Saint Bernard puppy, breakfast is made fun by his company. The manor is elegant.

This chateau if fabulous and so is JohnPaul.
The grounds are stunning and interesting. Do yourself a favor ands yay here.
We hope to come back for a longer stay soon.

Une superbe suite , idéale pour une famille, un grand saut dans le passé avec tout le confort moderne. Ajoutez un accueil impeccable par un propriétaire aux petits soins pour ses clients et vous obtenez un s éjour parfait! A goûter absolument : le sauvignon étiqueté au nom du manoir, une pépite!

Un excellent séjour ! Un cadre idyllique. Le manoir est tres bien entretenu, avec une vue sublime sur les vignes ( il y a d'ailleurs possibilité d'acheter le vin du Manoir ) . Tres bon petit déjeuner avec un hôte chaleureux et attentionné. Nous reviendrons. Encore merci.
