We're bitten by bed bugs. Where do you come from and what mode of transportation did you use coming to Pretoria were the questions asked. We tossed and turned the entire night not thinking the worst we saw when we woke up. We were traumatized for days. The itching and swelling continued for days until we consulted the Dr.

I loved the breakfast every morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day. I will definitely be back as a customer.

Comfortable room and building in a 'dicey' area of Pretoria.

Visited this hotel last year on work trip having already stayed 2 nights previous at Holiday Inn Sandton. Its like chalk and cheese how miles apart they are. Even though Holiday Inn was not entirely smooth sailing it was head and shoulders above this so called 1 star of a hotel. 1. Check in was terrible.. the staff at reception was non existent in welcoming attitude and felt like we were all a burden on them. 2. Got to room and its rather dingy but you get what you pay at this price. 3.Aircon was not working.. no phone to call reception had to go downstairs and ask what was wrong at reception. 4.The hotel was full to bursting, something was happening in PTA that week. The noise throughout the night was so loud... shouting in the corridors, banging of doors, this went on all through the night and at no point did anyone from the hotel intervene. Terrible, worst night ever. 5. Breakfast next morning was disgusting.. cold breakfast with those pre made scrambled eggs that looked congealed. Now for the terrible bit.. the juice in the large serving bottle was nearly empty of apple juice and instead of filling it with apple juice , two of the hotel looked around and assumed no one was watching, then they preceded to fill up with another type of juice. Not bothering to empty the apple juice This had me worried about what other corners they were cutting in the hotel. Never ever stay here.. not if you want service, sleep and good breakfast

The staff were friendly. The room was all right with clean linens. The pool was well maintained. Handy location to Pretoria Railway Station. It was a pretty good choice for the budget hotel. However, there are no eateries nearby. Disappointment was housekeeping service. When we checked in our room, we found leftover food from the last guest. Next morning, the housekeeping lady knocked our door and tried to clean our room at 9am. Then I knew why I could find the leftover food in my room. The housekeeping was done too early (before the guest checked out). So I thought the hotel should have better arrangement with housekeeping service.

We've stayed here several times & we come back because we've felt welcome. Accolades to Thandi who handled the booking issue when ********** did not pass the message to the hotel with respect. Malevolent, lack of people skills, demeaning & attitudinal was LUCKY. He needs to be checked. Example: wife told him that ********** was calling from United States & having problem getting through. His response, the phones are working - they do not know how to call South Africa. Wife was talking to me (and I'm in the USA), Thandi jumped in to say, it's a network issue. Finally the USA call came through. Another example, when asked if breakfast was still being served. His answer was; do I look like I work in the kitchen, I do not know ask the kitchen staff. Thanks to the security who jumped in & called the kitchen staff to help my wife - she got her breakfast from a respective lady. Final stroke at check out; Lucky embarrassed my wife by telling her, wait, I must check that your bill is paid in full and you did not take anything from the room, if you leave we don't want to hunt you down when you are far. He did his check & 10 minutes later told my wife you can go now. This one person from check in to check out made the stay horrible.

This place does not dissapoint all the time we've stayed here. All the attendants were helpful and willing all the time. Great place and great food

Very professional staff and clean room

This is a wonderful place to visit. Staff are pleasant and personable. We were given a red carpet. Place is clean and well kept. Once again bravo to the staff members - highly professional
