We stayed two nights in what was lovely weather, so we were able to enjoy the beautiful gardens, which have lovely seating, including a gazebo, and have been well looked after. The large pool in the garden was vey clean. My husband found the pool water fine, but it was a little cool for me. We had one of a small number of rooms built in a converted barn, in the grounds. I believe the owners live in the main house. There is a well-presented common area in the barn for guests, where breakfast is served at a communal table. The aircon in the room works very well and the bed was fine. On the negative side, the shower cubicle and washbasin are not separated from the bedroom and the toilet, which is in a small closet near the head of the bed, without a sink, external light/ window or extractor fan. In terms of food, you need to plan ahead as there are no restaurants or grocery shops within walking distance, no restaurant on the premises and no fridge in the room (so not possible to keep food). Guests cannot access the premises before 5pm on day of arrival; a locked outside gate prevents entry to the grounds before then. The entrance/exit to our room was directly onto the gravel path outside through glass double doors, which provide the only light source (no windows). This meant we had always to keep the inside voile curtains closed (for privacy) and doors closed for security. We paid 311 euros for two nights B&B. For us it was not really value for money.
