This hotel is in a great location and was primarily why we chose it. As some of the other reviews mention, it does have a large spiral staircase leading up to the rooms so it is not a good choice if you have any accessibility concerns.
We liked the automated hotel system as it was easy to get to our room and get settled without having to stand in lines. We stayed for a week and were in two different rooms and both were clean with charm.
The first room had a very hard bed so we had difficulty sleeping. The hotel was also under construction which we weren’t told about and isn’t mentioned on their website so we were woken up by noise at 5:30 am two days.
Due to electrical problems in connection with the construction, we were asked to move to a different room. The second room had a much comfier bed but it had plumbing problems mainly very low water pressure and the toilet wouldn’t always flush.
We never received attendance to our rooms so towels were not updated.
During the second half of the week, a family was staying there and they let their preteens run around the hotel, yelling, playing games, and jumping until 3:00 am. While this is a parenting issue, it’s difficult because there is no staff on sight to address these kinds of issues so you just have to deal with it. All automated hotels we have stayed in before had 18+ policies to address this.
The rooms were cute and it was in a great spot, but with no room attendance and construction, should be discounted.
