What amazing accommodation! The views are stunning, the location is high on the hill overlooking Queenstown CBD, just a km into town, We stayed for four nights, Rafaela, the host, was so warm, friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. The little extras such as the muffins and bowls of nuts and raisins in the lounge just helped to make this stay extra special.

Absolutely lovely stay with an epic view. I spent most of my time here outside in the yard enjoying the beautiful garden. Sis and Benji were the best hosts and having a kitchen to use was a really nice touch. Would love to come back for a much longer stay.

Great stay - rooms were comfy, clean, and quiet. The view of the lake and town was so beautiful! Evening snacks and wine were available; and muffins and chocolate were provided in the room, along with coffee and tea service and a mini-fridge. A close walk to downtown. The walk back was uphill, but not too bad - we did it every day. Definitely happy we picked here to stay!

Beautiful accommodation. The views are spectacular from every room. Plenty of parking and short walk to the centre. The host is very friendly and hospitable. She offers snacks and drinks in the main room over looking the beautiful views. Each time you come back from sightseeing, there are always chocolates in your accommodation and muffins for breakfast. The host also makes sure you have milk for your morning coffee which is thoughtful! Very clean and so much shelving in the bathroom to leave your stuff. Overall, a wonderful experience!

This would be among the best resorts to stay in while in Queenstown. We booked the 2 bedroom suite for 4 nights, with complimentary muffins and chocolates on arrival. It had superb lake views from both bedrooms and both lounges. The upstairs communal lounge offered complimentary whiskey, brandy, port, wines and nibbles, with the best view of Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown. The rooms were spotless and the beds extremely comfortable. We will definitely be staying there again.

What an absolute gem the lodge is! Situated above the town in a quiet location it has stunning panoramic views of the lake and mountains. The lodge has a guest lounge with drinks, snacks and games which gives the opportunity to relax there as well as in your room. With views over the beautiful gardens to the unobstructed view beyond. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a selection of soft or firm pillows and light refreshments. Sis the owner and her staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. They take pride in this wonderful lodge and the surroundings. Thank you We would thoroughly endorse Balmoral lodge as a place to stay that will enhance your enjoyment of your time in Queenstown.

The best place to stay in Queenstown! We are a family of 4 and we stayed at balmoral Lodge for a holiday and it was just amazing! The most wonderful view, incredible comfortable bed and extremely clean. Traveling with two kids, was easier Thant we could think it would be, kitchen with everything we needed to cook a meal, laundry with dryer and lovely fresh muffins, milk and chocolate every day. We loved! Specially the warm reception that we have by Benji the puppy dog and Cis! We will definitely be back!

Ses the owner is really hospitable, the rooms are clean, beds are super comfortable with fantastic views of Queenstown & the lake below with a lounge with drinks such as port/sherry/brandy/ wines & nibbles all catered for Can’t fault the accommodation

The host and staff were incredibly friendly.
The highlight of the hotel was the stunning lake view. Waking up to the serene beauty of the lake each morning was a real treat.
Also there is a lovely garden with beautiful flowers, It was such a delight to enjoying tea or wine while soaking in the lake view.
Although the hotel is a bit distant from downtown, it's only a 10-minute walk away. And if you prefer, taking an Uber is quite convenient and affordable, costing just NZ$9.
