Estupenda ubicacion

We dropped into this hotel as it was the terminal for our little train tour. Although in June and loads of people there (mostly schoolkids - teeming with them - I think the hotel doubles as a hostel?), the cafe wasn't open, the restaurant only catered for "proper" lunches and we were directed to the bar. There were about 8 of us in there from our group, plus a young Spanish couple. The barman served the Spanish couple ahead of some of our group, which didn't really please anyone. It took an age to place our simple orders (sandwiches and a burger) and then all of us sat there without any food for about three quarters of an hour. Despite asking what was happening, we were kept being told "it's coming soon", but it didn't. Eventually, we got not very good sandwiches and my husband's burger was red in the middle. We did complain to the barman, who referred us all to reception. The reception man tried to help and offered us a drink in compensation, but our return train was due to leave anyway, so didn't even get that. It all seems half-cocked to me and, if the eating and drinking facilities are anything to go by, I would steer well clear of the hotel.

Hotel Vall de Núria is located in the center of Núria Valley, in a amazing place surrounded by mountains in Catalan Pyrenees. We stayed in an apartment, which was very nice. It has all we needed for 4 friends with a total-equipped kitchen/eating-room, a bedroom and a bathroom. We could cook and dinner comfortably the first night. Also the main hotel has a buffet restaurant, where we ate very good and really the dishes we tasted were very good (except the grilled meat, which was only normal). Also, from the apartment is possible to begin some of the fantastic hikes in the mountains, so it is a perfect place for mountain-lovers. On the other hand, the room was a little small and sometimes we have problems to move the 4 friends in the room. (See also Vall de Núria, Cremallera de Núria and Capela de Sao Gil)

We enjoyed a magical 5 days staying at Hotel Vall De Núria with our teenage children. Daily walks exploring the incredible mountain ranges, picture postcard views at every turn. The easier options and variety of pathways meant that we could try something new every day. The cable car (€3 with proof of your train ticket purchase) was a great addition to our day and we used it several times. The food was a healthy, hearty Spanish buffet (we recommend getting full board as it is pricey at €22/head if you purchase it separately - as we found out on our arrival) The hotel itself is basic but clean and functional. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It can be noisy (dogs, children and noise in rooms above) but we weren’t bothered by this at all. All the mountain air ensured a good night sleep! A highlight was rowing on the mountain lake (around €6 for half an hour) and we enjoyed this activity twice. The lake itself provides a lovely after dinner walk too. Other activities include mini golf (€5) which entertained us all for over an hour. Families and those with younger children could also enjoy an outdoor park, a play area with slides/trampolines (range of fees depending how long you use it) and pony rides (also additional fee). The bar provided a lovely spot for before or after dinner drinks. We absolutely loved our stay in Vall De Núria and we all left with many happy memories and a promise to return.

All you can eat from a huge variety of hot and cold dishes for €22. Excellent value for a hungry hiker. Not much else in Nuria to interest a hiker, expensive boutiques and ice cold showers. Big trout in the lake.

Stayed here for one night before hiking over the mountains to France. My room was small and simple, a little old style, but completely ok if you do not expect luxury. Breakfast was quite large. Plenty of activities in the valley. Note: you get a discount-coupon of 25% on the rack railway once you book the hotel!

Un hotel fantástico para ir en familia vistas increíbles al lago y todo lo necesario para poder esquiar sin duda repetiría. Buffet tanto de desayuno comodín y cena muy cuantioso y con especialidades de kilómetro cero respetando la economía circular y de la tierra

Me casé aquí un fin de semana de julio y fue todo fenomenal! El lugar es súper bonito y el trato con el personal del hotel fue excelente en todo momento! Muy recomendable tanto para aloj**** allí y disfrutar de la zona como para eventos o comidas!
