I have known this little part of heaven on earth for over forty-five years. For me and my family its like coming home. I knew the origional owner who was head of the local resistance in the last world war. Squat tough and a terrific sence of humour. Taught me to play boule but only if there was a pastis at hand. I went early in the morning to market with him, a pastis with a coffee was de rigeur. I first went there to work and arrived at night it was very dark but a cold plate had been left in my room. Slept like a log to awake to flowers, sun and a delightful warm welcome. Breakfast on the terrace was fresh baguettes etc. home made jam and creamy butter. Delicious coffee. AND the food was beyond delicious. Breakfast is served now until 11.30 in your room or a quiet spot in the garden. The running of the Ferme has passed down the family and is now in the capable hands of Christophe who has inherited the special Ferme warmth not just from the sun but his greeting. The Ferme now has a swimming pool dug from Augustin's boule pitch. He would not have minded as the pool has a fabulous outdoor bar. The cocktails prime one for lunch or dinner. Non-fussy fo. od fresh and well, just perfect for me. I just love the way fresh fish is shown and then discussed how one would like it cooked. I could write a book about the Ferme but suffice to say that I went there three times the first year, before I was married the second time. I had my second honey moon at La Ferme! La Ferme is 150 m from Plage Tahiti who have a geat bar, have not tried the food because, well the Ferme's is only a little stroll away. By the way a thoughtful car is on hand to take one down to St Tropez, ten minutes drive For me and my family, who have all grown up, go there with my grand children. It is a bit special.
