AAnonimowy użytkownik- The hotel's location is awesome, right next to Central Rayong shopping mall, just a few steps away.
This place is part of the Hilton chain, in their affordable format. They don't do luggage handling, which is fine.
- This hotel is super new and clean, totally decked out, and the bathroom is huge. The hairdryer is new, and the TV is modern. Plus, they've got stuff for wheelchairs and an SOS button in the room if you need help.
- The staff welcomed us and served us well.
The dining room is medium-sized, with in-door and out-door areas, and the food tastes good.
- The space in front of each room is pretty proportional, which is great for privacy, but the soundproofing between rooms might not be the best. We can hear doors closing or stuff banging through the ceiling and walls.
- If you're staying during the festival, there might be noisy events with loud music in the mall's forecourt, usually from 7 PM to midnight. Maybe probably ask the hotel about it after booking your room.
We were pretty stoked with this place. If we can, we'll totally come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jest bardzo blisko basenu, plaży, restauracji (winkks) i sali śniadaniowej (mango). , a woda pod prysznicem jest ciepła. Ciśnienie wody jest świetne. Oprócz komarów na pierwszym piętrze nie ma w tym nic złego.
Hotelowe śniadanie w formie bufetu jest całkiem dobre i obejmuje dania kuchni chińskiej, zachodniej i tajskiej. Wśród nich bardzo popularny jest omlet. Wiele osób ustawia się w kolejce, aby poczekać na omlet. Hotelowa restauracja winkks również ma dobre recenzje. Z widokiem na morze kolacja (łącznie z koktajlami) kosztuje ponad 300 RMB, a lunch na rysunku 45 kosztuje ponad 200 RMB (cena obejmuje 10% opłaty za obsługę i 7). % podatku). Składniki są bardzo świeże. Obie dziewczyny jadły do syta. Każdego wieczoru o 19:30 odbywa się pokaz ognia i muzyka na żywo. Jeśli nie masz konkretnych celów kulinarnych na Koh Samet, dobrym wyborem będzie również zjedzenie każdego posiłku w ośrodku.

sawasdee coco is located at one end of sai kaew beach, while it is still near other major beach restaurants, with fire shows, e.g. winkks, grand view and tonsak.
it is worth mentioning that the staff are attentive.
when i get to the sky seaside deluxe, i need to pass a short passageway via the beach and go up to the second floor.
when i check out, the housekeeping staff members were just passed by and they proactively came to us and help us brought our luggages, not just to the front desk, but to the songthaew station.
much appreciate that.

Ttutti3Amazing hotel! The room was large and comfortable. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Had a nice balcony. The restaurant’s food is really delicious. The location was great with a private beach. You can rent a scooter and go around the island. I will stay here again definitely. It has a nice nightlife atmosphere, they have a dj on with good music although it can get really loud so I recommend that if this is an issue to ask for a room farther away from the beach.

Koh Samed perfectly captures that quintessential island tourist vibe, and Avatara Resort delivers a solid family-friendly beach experience right in the heart of it all.
Location & Beach Access
The resort's prime beachfront location is undoubtedly its strongest asset. Situated directly by a beautiful stretch of shallow, crystal-blue waters, it offers safe and perfect conditions for family sea bathing. The convenience factor is excellent – you're just a two-minute walk from the famous Sai Kaew Beach, the iconic Mermaid Monument, and the bustling Silversand Resort area.
Accommodation & Ambience
While the resort building itself shows its age, the refurbished rooms create a lovely ambience with beautiful lighting that transforms the older structure into something quite charming. We stayed on the third floor, which offered peaceful mountain views overlooking the national park forest rather than beach views. The setting is genuinely calm and quiet – exactly what we wanted for a family retreat.
Important consideration: There's no elevator, so reaching upper floors requires quite a climb. As we joked, shuttling between the room and outside areas four times daily provides a workout in itself! This makes the resort unsuitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues.
Dining Experience
The breakfast experience is delightful, served in a beachside restaurant where you can enjoy your meal with sand between your toes. The selection impresses with a good range of both Western and Thai options, including fresh fruits.
The resort's beach restaurant serves quality food with excellent value for money – we tried multiple dishes and enjoyed them all. However, there's no room service, and the restaurant closes early (around 9:30-10 PM). When late-night cravings struck, we found the nearby 7-Eleven (just 5-6 minutes' walk) convenient for snacks.
Room Amenities & Issues
Room amenities are adequate though not luxurious. The shower area is well-designed with a spacious dressing area. However, we encountered an unpleasant odor from the bathroom drainage system that required some management during our stay.
Activities & Surroundings
For water activities like parasailing, snorkeling, and jet skiing, you'll need to walk to Sai Kaew Beach to find service providers – fortunately, we found excellent options there.
Final Verdict
Avatara Resort succeeds as a family-friendly destination that balances beachfront access, peaceful ambience, and reasonable pricing. While it has some limitations (no elevator, early restaurant closure, minor maintenance issues), the overall experience was enjoyable and memorable.
Recommended for: Families seeking a calm beach getaway who don't mind some stairs and prefer a quieter resort atmosphere.
Consider alternatives if: You need elevator access, late-night dining options, or luxury amenities.

GGośćThe location is really far off. In the last corner of the island. If you don’t have a motorcycle you don’t get around well.
There is a shuttle bus which costs around 120 to get to the main area one way for two, but it isn’t that reliable. It is supposed to leave once per hour at 30min after the full hour but sometimes it leaves 5min early and you are stranded for the hour, sometimes you wait until 45min after the hour.
The friendlieness of the staff was from super genuinely friendly and helpful to „ I don’t give the slightest **** for you“ really depends on the person. Breakfast was good, especially the thai soups.
Eating dinner there is very expensive and not that good. The restaurant location outside is spectacular. With view over the sea in many directions.
The huts where you stay are simply too small. I. Essence only a bed that you can walk around. No desk or something. No shelves or something where you could store or hang clothes. You have to live out of the luggage your suitcase. The issue is : there is only space to have one opened at the time, no space for two. That makes it rather inconvenient. The water in the romm is in glass bottles , but it is actually tab water smells like chlorine. I gor stomach pain drinking only one. We were told if we need drinking water , we must use the overpriced water from the minibar.
The beach wasn’t that great. You don’t walk on sand and there was lots of rubble in the water, not pleasant to swim. I would not go there again

GGoing Back To My Roots### Review of Samed Grandview Resort
We recently stayed at Samed Grandview Resort and had a wonderful experience overall. The resort's location is stunning, with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere that made our stay enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met.
However, we felt that the beach entertainment could use some improvement. While the idea of music on the beach is great, the selection and execution were somewhat lacking, making it a bit boring at times. As professionals in the entertainment industry, we believe there are ways to enhance the experience for guests, such as incorporating a more diverse music selection or live performances.
We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to see the entertainment aspect elevated for an even better guest experience. Thank you for considering our feedback! 🙏🏻

NNoooooooThe location is excellent — right by a beautiful and peaceful beach with soft, clean white sand. It’s perfect for a relaxing walk. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, always smiling and helpful. The room was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes, but the hotel provided mosquito repellent mats in the room, which was a thoughtful touch.
As for breakfast, the day I stayed there were quite a lot of guests, so the food ran out quickly and was not replenished in time. If the breakfast service could be improved during peak times, the overall experience would be even better.

GGośćI have stayed at Flamingo Villa before (In the Garden Room), but this time I decided to stay in the loft room, which apparently is called the Family Room. Flamingo Villa is somewhat strange, since the ”Hotel” is basically three rooms within the Samed Your House hotel. Our neighbors actually knocked on our door to try and check in ~ You need to call the phone number for Flamingo Villa in order to check in, as someone will come out to meet you. So, bottom line up front: Flamingo Villa is awesome, but get ready to kill a lot of mosquitos! The owners do a good job of lighting incense sticks to try and keep the them away, but there are fountains around the area and the mosquitos are no joke. I would say I killed at least 10 in our room, so it is super important to make sure you close the sliding doors behind you every time you go in and out of the room.
The Family Room was awesome. The lower floor is basically a living room with a large day bed and a big TV with great speakers. The toilet room is separate from the shower. The stairs to the loft are pretty steep, but once you get up there it is really nice. There are two queen beds in the loft, and the glass wall and sliding door separate the bedroom from the main room, which is great because the bedroom has its own AC unit, and the glass keeps out the mosquitoes. The beds were comfortable, but be careful because the ceiling is very low above the beds. The view from up in the loft is very peaceful, and the owners obviously spent a lot of time decorating the place (The Christmas tree was still up while we were there).
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Sai Kaew Beach, and the pier for the ferry is only a 10 minute walk ~ but you can take a mini bus if you would like. The hotel is close to restaurants and stores, and there are two 7-11s close to the beach. We rented a motor bike the last time we were in Koh Samed, but Sai Kaew Beach seems to be the nicest on the island, so we just hung out there.
I love Flamingo Villa, and I am sure I will stay there again in the future.

GGośćSaikaew Villa 65 is less than a 5 minute walk from the songthiaw drop off to get to the accommodation, after the 10 minute taxi ride from Ban Phe pier. We booked 3 Superior Twin rooms for family but the rooms were definitely not 'superior'. The rooms lacked any finesse, with a broken lampshade, gaps under the doors for mozzies to get in, a broken light in the bathroom and a leaking sink pipe, dodgy fridge connection and dead batteries in the aircon remote. The room itself was clean and the service for room cleaning was good, but the surrounding area around the rooms was dilapidated, with broken down storage buildings, remnants of building works and rubbish bags and cleaning equipment on display in the walkways each day. There was a definite lack of attention to detail. It was backpacker style but not with a backpacker price tag. I booked the rooms on a balcony, with a view of the courtyard garden, but there was nowhere to sit outside the room, no chairs provided, just small tables. The location is very good, a minute or so walk away from the beach. The attached restaurant, 'Joe's', was very efficiently run and the service there was excellent (thank you to the waiting staff, who were very friendly and helpful). For 60 baht for the day, a deckchair could be rented with an umbrella right on the sea front, and the restaurant staff provided towels for the deckchairs when asked. If you plan on spending little time in your rooms, and you don't mind the outside appearance of the accommodation, then Sai Kaew 65 is a great place to base yourself for all that Sai Kaew and Koh Samed has to offer.
