Camping la Sousta

This is a very attractive campsite in a fantastic location. Not only is it a good base for visiting Avignon and other Provence towns, it is literally 15 minutes walk to the Pont Du Gard. You can enjoy the magnificent Roman aqueduct, and have a refreshing dip in the river. My teenage sons enjoyed jumping off rocks above a deep section. The campsite is wooded, so there is plenty of shade, but the pitches are not exactly clearly defined. Some may struggle with the lack of privacy. We went in peak season, so the place was very busy - especially the small pool. We were located very close to the bar and entertainments, so it was noisy. We did not enjoy the off note singing on karaoke night. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but this place is expensive and I did have a couple of issues. One is that the only water taps are located in the shower /toilet block which was quite far away. In such a hot climate, it was frustrating to have to walk so far for water on a site that charges 60 euro a night. Also, every morning, I was turned away from the shower block by cleaners, and made to walk even further to the next one. More water taps, and showers cleaned later in the day would have made this place perfect.

A great location for exploring the local area and history, we enjoyed cycling to the nearby town of Uzes and paddle boarding in the river in sight of the Pont du Gard. The staff were friendly and very welcoming and facilities first class.

I only spent one night at La Sousta passing through the region but can recommend to stay here if only for the very friendly staff. I arrived way past reception hours but was warmly welcomed by the security staff who checked me in. The pitches are nice between trees. Next time I will stay longer.

Good campsite near to the Pont du Gard. The pitches are large, as per previous reviews boundary’s are not clearly marked but this gives it a more wild feel which we liked. The campsite was very dusty, we found it hard to keep our kit clean. The pool is a bit dated and there is no shade around the pool. It could do with modernising and maybe extending to accommodate enough people from the campsite. The staff were friendly and nice, drinks reasonably priced at the bar. The buildings and facilities are a bit dated but functional. Access to the river is good, very busy in the holiday season. Overall a good stay.

We had a very nice stay at camping La Sousta! The showers, toilets, sinks, etc. were very clean. The camping is very calm, but there is a good a**osphere at the bar in the evenings. The bar and bistro are not really expensive, but are of good quality. There is a nice beach at the river to relax and it is only a very short walk to the beach at the pont du gard. The places to put your tents or caravans are pretty big and there is a lot of shade. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and recommend it to everyone looking for a camping in that area.

Grand et beau camping, très proche du pont du Gard, accessible facilement à pieds. Original de par ses emplacements disséminés sur un grand terrain. On choisit celui qui nous convient. Ici on ne lésine pas sur les espaces verts. Grande et belle piscine mais pas testée (avril). Certains branchements électriques donnent 10 A. Sanitaires modernes, propres. On peut se rendre à pieds à Rémoulins environ 30 mn. Accueil sympathique.

Notre séjour s’est déroulé dans un cadre très agréable en pleine nature. Du calme un lieu entretenu par un personnel bienveillant et professionnel. Des activités variées pour mon ado. Une proximité avec des lieux chargés d’histoire et de culture. Des services à proximité. De bien jolies vacances

Beau et grand camping en bord de rivière. Spacieux et calme , en octobre !. Camping bien entretenu propre . Location sympa et conforme à notre attente, la seul chose de négatif la propreté du logements partiellement fait avant notre arrivée. Super wk en famille.
