Rhodes Bay Hotel & Spa

We didn't go in the end - partly because you cancelled our transfers (and accused us of doing so), and when asked, you could not tell us what we actually booked. We lost confidence that everything would be sorted for us. We will never use ******* again.

The property and rooms were very nice with lots of pools and areas to relax. The bar bits menu could have had a few more items. When restaurants at the property were closed it was better to go through room service menu instead of the bar bites menu for food. Also the pools closed too early. July is very hot and the sun goes down after 8pm. It would been nice to have at least one pool open till 9pm. There were a few times we wanted to use the pool after 7pm but were unable to since they were closed. The really nice beaches required a 25 to 1 hour drive from the property so we had to rent a car. The beach by the property was not very nice.

COCROACHES IN ROOMS. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Horrible service, dirty rooms with cockroaches. We stayed in this hotel for vocation and rented cabanas. We expected 5 star hotel to be extremely clean and enjoyable, however we received only rude service, cockroaches in our room running around every day, and the hotel did not do anything. Additionally, they did not DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Horrible service, dirty rooms with cockroaches. We stayed in this hotel for vocation and rented cabanas. we expected 5 star hotel to be extremely clean and enjoyable, however we received only rude service, cockroaches in our room running around every day for the duration of our stay, and the hotel did not spray or do anything to prevent it from happening again. When we were leaving we expected to recive any discounts, or compliments from hotel, instead the hotel charged us extra for late check out. I would say Greek people do not know how to provide service to people. This was my worst vocation and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Asking me if I'd like to stay at rhodes bay would be like asking me if I wanted £1million, of course I'd say yes! Where to begin? Ok let's start by saying if you want a hotel that can cater for multiple budgets, this is one that can offer a variety of packages. We stayed in the Elite suites which you can have a private pool at an aditional cost. Now pools.....I'd wager that 60% of Rhodes island is just swimming pools you can use at this hotel alone! There are I believe 5 or 6 in total which cater for all types of people There's two pools on the 11th floor (1 main pool and a smaller kids pool) There's a pool on the ground floor which is a family pool where there's a pool bar in the pool. A little further up some stairs of the ground floor pool is the adult only pool if you fancy getting away from those adorable angels for a while. To the side of the ground floor pool is the black pool (because its coloured black.....obviously). This pool is for the Elite suite guests only, so if you want to feel a little bit more "posh" you can use this one if your in the Elite suites (someones doing well for themselves eh?). Then there's the indoor pool located in the spa (phew that's a lot of pools). Then if you stay in certain Elite suites you have you're own private pool if you want no contact with other humans for the day. Ok enough pool talk, let's move to other features the hotel offers: Onsite Gym: for those who wish to work off all the copious ammounts of calories you'll inevitably consume trying all the amazing food, you can use the gym and is available to all guests. Spa: if you weren't pampered enough by having 6 pool choices you can relax with a variety of sauna, steam room, massage and other trea**ents, in the spa area is an onsite hairdressers for if you forgot to get your mop chopped before you came. Onsite shop: if you needed essentials like a lilo or a fridge magnet, or you just needed a snack if you were only bed and breakfast, the shop has gifts and snacks available. Tennis courts: I'm not sure why anyone would want to play tennis in temperatures verging on the center of the sun, but if you're crazy (and brave) enough, you can use the tennis courts by asking at reception. Accessability: Rhodes bay has free wifi for all guests and for wheelchair users, the hotel has lots of lifts and access ramps so its easy to get about if you require assistance, the staff are very friendly and accomodating. Restaurants: there are 3 restaurants on site, one is on the 11th floor near the pool, that offers generic hotel food throughout the day like pizza, spag bol etc (catered more towards kids) but at night is more of an al acarte style restaurant. There's the main buffet restaurant on the 10th floor which you can get as much fodder as you can eat, it offers a multitude of dishes from traditional greek dishes, to chinese, to italian, seafood, english and the menus change often so there's always something new to try! Lovely hotel with lots of options for food and pool/beach. I had a lovely massage with Maria in the spa thanks so much - very relaxing . The food is lovely and it is good to have options of many restaurants too. Good service and staff thank you :-)

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, very nicely decorated with stunning views in the dining room and bar area. Even as you walk into the lobby you are greeted by an amazing outdoor waterfall and trees! We stayed in the bungalows which is probably one of the quieter places in the hotel as it’s further away from the road and up in the mountains, also with a lovely quiet and sunny pool right outside. The staff were lovely and all very friendly and the hotel is about a 10 minute drive from old town. You can get there by bus (but make sure you buy tickets in the supermarket beforehand) or taxi for about 10-12 euros so a good location just outside of town. The food was lovely and had a good variety with something different on each night. There was also good entertainment on in the evenings with a great bar area. All in all I can’t recommend the hotel enough, absolutely beautiful!!

The environment is very serene. There is an artificial waterfall downstairs, a mini market, the spa and pools. The spa is only complimentary with other packages. However, it is 30 Euros for a day pass. If you have the forest view, you won't have much of a view but definitely gives the forest feel e.g. sounds, of birds chirping, water flowing. Breakfast is on the 10th floor and a large selection of continental and hot breakfast. On the 11th floor, there is the bar, another pool and a restaurant. I didn't eat at the restaurant besides breakfast so cannot comment on the food/cuisines served. There was entertainment which I had missed of a trio of men singing Italian opera which was beautiful. The mattress and pillows were exceptionally comfortable and had a good night sleep. Overall, I would recommend staying here. The hotel looks like the pictures and is a quality stay. If you're travelling to the hotel by bus, it would be better to buy your ticket at the Airport which costs less than paying on the bus. They accept cash only on the bus. The stop would be Rodos Bay and the hotel is just opposite the stop. However, it is only a 15mins drive if you're getting a taxi/shuttle etc. To get to the Old Town, take a bus from outside the hotel, it should cost you 1.80 Euros to take you to the Central Bus Station. You'll have to use your data or maps to find where the Old Town begins but it is straight forward and not hard to miss. Please bear in mind, to use the toilets you will need pay 50c but the toilets are pretty clean. ONLY CRITIQUE for the hotel is 1) To only use the required oil needed for frying eggs. The quantity used at breakfast is far too much and unhealthy

The best spa outside of Thailand. The staff amazing the treatment was fantastic. The room are so wonderful each having individual taste the big Buddha room best I have ever seen my husband agreed . Xenia was my therapist today and need big thank you
