Europa Hotel

My son and I went here in June and I had such a wonderful holiday I went back in August to the same Europa Hotel, but on my own. The rooms were lovely and clean, the Reception staff, Cleaning staff, Restaurant staff and Pool Bar staff were all so cheerful, friendly and accommodating ! I can't understand the negative reviews on here ? I wasn't going to leave a review as I wanted to keep this little gem to myself, but feel I should share. The Europa Hotel is perfectly situated for the beach, bars and restaurants and lovely walks around the Old part of Rhodes Town. I'll be going back next year as well... probably twice !

For my fellow travelers to Rhodes - please avoid this hotell by all costs! Me and my friends travelled to Europa Hotel by the end of July 2023. First of all, some of the staff felt rude and not polite to us during our vacation, especially after a couple of days, when three of my friends discovered bed bugs in their room. As if it wasn't bad enough with just the bed bugs, the administrative staff at the hotel put the blame at us. My friends got a new room (which was okay) for the rest of the vacation. Just a day or two later, we saw a new couple of people arriving at the hotel and being given the room with bed bugs. Standard procedure of bed bugs is way more complicated than two days of work, ad should be taken seriously. After the vacation, the hotel also refused to pay for the damages and the expenses we made to get rid of the bed bugs from our luggage. Also there was a lot of partying and noice during the night, and the hotel felt "dirty" and poor air condition. I repeat and recommend: please do not choose this hotel when you go to visit Rhodes.

In the room we found bed bugs (!), verified by the reception. We were bitten several times in bed. The reception was very unfriendly and put the blame on us, saying that we brought the bed bugs in the hotel. But they gave us another room. After traveling home we had to discontaminate our luggage and stuff by a company, and we ask now the hotel to refund this bill. The hotel manager admits there were bed bugs, she says the room is still locked off for inspection and treatment of the bed bugs, which is a lie! The hotel put new people in this room already the day after we moved out, we saw this ourselves! The manager says she is going to treat the bugs with a liquid, which is not possible. These small insects are very hard to get rid of! If you bring them in your house, it may cost 5.000-10.000 euro to discontaminate the house. All hotels can get bed bugs…. we know. But we are very, very dissapointed about how they treat us and the situation having bed bugs. In several states in the USA hotels have to close down the whole building when found bed bugs, this is given by law. This hotel is only thinking about money making, and it is a risk for people to stay here.

We picked this hotel for sea view and close proximity to town and marina. Be clear when you book what room you get because some are full sea view, some are side and some are none and no balcony. Rooms were great value for money and the beach and town is so good hardly in the room at all. Beach literally a minute away, as are shops, bars, restaurants. 15 min walk round coastline to marina which is stunning as is the old town within the walls....amazing!!! Went to mama Sofia's restaurant in there and highly recommended btw. Friendly staff at hotel, pool is great, clean, comfy loungers and great bar and excellent prices, gyros and chips 4€ and one of best we had as was the orange juice but be cautious the pool has a lot of young adults which is fine and we didn't mind but big groups of young friends can be very loud and boisterous so don't think I'd take young children there. We didn't have breakfast as had a kitchenette but it looked good. Maid was fantastic, in everyday!! Would 100% go back again

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Great location, beach is right next to the hotel and small walk to the city center and old town. Our room was perfect! Great view to the ocean at the top floor, nice and clean and modern room. Staff was always so friendly, especially the bartender at the pool. Pool area was so nice, good sunbeds and good drinks and food from the pool bar. Only small minus was the bar street next to the hotel. There was some noice coming from there, but it luckily didn’t bother us because our room was at the top floor! We got great sleep. :) And breakfast was ok! :) ＜3 I recommend!

The receptionist was kind enough to allow us to use the pool in exchange for buying drinks so we can't comment on the hotel as a place to stay. The pool was in very good condition and well maintained. They even have a lifeguard on duty; not something we have experienced elsewhere. It has a very shallow end which is perfect for children. The pool increases in depth to around 5 feet. The bar was reasonably priced; 4€ for a large beer, 2.5€ for a glass of wine. The only downside was the continual music which made it difficult to read but we felt it a price worth paying.

This hotel and booking has hided my feedback on ***********..! The room was old but large - room number 506. In my feedback I would like to focus on level of cleanliness, which is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE FOR ANY HOTEL AND ANY STARS (for 74,40 EUR per NIGHT!) Details: 1. THERE WERE BLACK HAIRS OF DIFFERENT LENGTHS ON TWO BEDS AND PILLOWS!!! 2. There were dried stains on the sheets. This is disgusting!!! 3. The floor was dirty. 4. Music and noise from the street bars. We were very tired after the flight to Rhodes Island and really wanted to sleep. So we took towels (which luckily were clean) and put them on the bed to sleep. The next day, at the reception the employee said that it was strange, as the woman in charge of cleaning is very careful and responsible, etc. Such a disgusting-dirty room..! It is important to me to get a clean room where we can comfortably sleep for 74,40 EUR per night. In this regard, I claimed at least part of the paid amount and they didn’t respond me!!! Ing. The location is excellent for partying and visiting the Rhodos Centrum. Walking distance to all places and good pool area. Own shop and breakfest is also ok!

I enjoyed staying at this property. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The location is very convenient. The view from the room is beautiful.
