Xenones Lindos

My wife and I came to lindos for our honeymoon and stayed at the beautiful Xenones in August..it was a few weeks after the fires had been put out on Rhodes,we werent sure what to expect because the media had made out that the lindos area was affected. But when we got to lindos we could see that all was well...even though a lot of the island had been affected..we were greeted and checked in by Arthur the hotel manager and had a cold beer on arrival in the very pretty terrace bar.our room was simple but very clean as tastefully decorated,the bed was a little hard for me but my wife loved it..the bathroom was again simple but all you need. The location was perfect only a 10 min walk to the centre of lindos and a close walk to bus stops and transfer pickup.we loved everything about Xenones .very reasonably priced and maintained to a high standard..Arthur was an absalute star extremely helpful with anything you needed..rooms were cleaned daily with new sheets and towels every 2 days.. As for lindos I'm very well travelled and I can honestly say one of the prettiest and friendly places I've ever been..Rhodes is a beautiful island but for us theres only one place to stay and that's lindos.and if we ever come back which is likely we're be booking back in to Xenones.

Whilst we were there the manager Arther was friendly and tried to help however the accommodation is not fit for purpose and needs a thorough overhaul. Unfortunately all the negative trip advisor comments seem to be met with defensive responses .The owner really needs to acknowledge as I think they are very valid and reflective of our own experience as below. They seem to spend money on plastic non essential accessories when not getting the basics right. Seem to have no idea what a 21st century traveller needs. We asked for a room change but did not get one despite people leaving during our stay. On arrival, very hard to find, no directions sent. No one on reception, notes directing us to 2 different places after a long flight with heavy luggage. Manager when located in the bar, did take the time to go through the safe instructions and a local intro which was good over a welcome complimentary drink -a glass of water! Room smells of sewage as septic tank not emptied until September. Minimal clothes storage, no drawers, half a hanging space Used pan scrub - how disgusting and unhygienic. “Tea and coffee” making consists of a kettle - minimal welcome pack of 2 teas and coffees. No hot water in kitchen sink. Only one bedside table Double bed is 2 singles together leaving a ridge in between. Beds hard, only one pillow each. Shower tiny, curtain sticks to you and water ends up all over the floor making it slippy Shower gel was empty on arrival. Toilet roll bin not emptied every day so it adds to smell. Hard uncomfortable chairs in courtyard Others sat directly outside your door so no privacy Beach towels thin small and poor quality Toaster sparked and almost caught fire, manger did change but unapologetic when we complained just said it was ok last week. We didn’t want to cook but if we had there was a plug in 2 ring hob no oven or microwave Iron dangerous with exposed circuitry. The only good thing about the place is the location in the village.

Lovely hotel with beautiful views of the acropolis. Rooms were very clean, well decorated and compact. Air conditioning was a godsend and a fantastic room bar/terrace for breakfast, drinks and snacks. Quiet and peaceful and close to the centre of Lindos but far enough away to remain ideal. We would love to return one day.

First off, remember this is Lindos; a world heritage site. They aren't allowed to modify much by law. So, there are no pools anywhere in the village. Look at the hotels in Krana for that. That said, Xenones is one of the best package deal places in the village. It's an authentic fisherman's cottage complex with little courtyards. A great place to meet new friends. Facilities in the room are basic and adequate, but who goes to cook their own meals on an evening. A fridge for milk/beer/water and sandwich stuff is all we needed. Arthur, who is there about 28 hours a day, is just THE perfect host.

I absolutely love this place so much so that I booked to go next year before I’d even left. It’s basic yes but I love that and they don’t advertise as anything else . Some reviews say it’s basic and they pay basic prices (personally I think it’s exceptional value for the location alone) but then expect 4 star facilities. The very efficient air con is free (so long as you don’t leave it on when you’re not there) so is the safety deposit box. Where do you normally get that for free) Cleaning everyday is to a very high standard .Arthur is there when you need him and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble and he is very efficient. . The communication from Andy before for check in was also clear. We arrived early hours of the morning and were worried we wouldn’t find it in the dark. We needn’t have worried (and we’re a bit dizzy) we found it easy! Well done I don’t think I will stay anywhere else now when we visit. Thank you for making our holiday . See you May 2024 ❤️

We had five nights at Xenones while staying in Lindos for a wedding and it was perfect. It's in a great location for exploring the town and is right on the doorstep of all the bars and restaurants. We understand the larger hotels along the main road allow people to use their pools for the price of a drink which we did on one occasion and I'd recommend that - stay right in the heart of it at Xenones but the option of a pool is there. The terrace at Xenones where they serve breakfast and drinks is lovely with beautiful views over the town and of the Acropolis. We were in room D15 and the little shared courtyard outside was lovely for enjoying lunch or an evening drink. The rooms are fine with a decent size bed, lots of storage and a small kitchenette and bathroom. The very efficient aircon is free (just make sure you turn it off when out) and there is a small safe (although it's not bolted down - but the place is very secure). One tiny thing I would say is the kitchen could be slightly better equipped - there was no sharp knife, chopping board, olive oil, salt, pepper etc as you often get in self catering but it wasn't really a problem as we only made food a handful of times. Arther is a fantastic and very friendly host and nothing is too much trouble and before our arrival Andy was very helpful in assisting us with where to park. (Xenones is a short walk from one of the town's main car parks so very handy). We would throughly recommend Xenones for any Lindos stay.

Stayed in A6 - studio with separate kitchen area, bathroom and individual terrace. The room itself isn’t large but the balcony is! Room size was as described. Came with free air con, safety deposit box - a bonus on a package holiday, we thought. Also had an iron and ironing board. We didn’t really use the kitchen facilities other than kettle and fridge so can’t comment on if they’d be sufficient to fully self cater (although we did make a lot of use of the balcony for take away food we brought back - salads, pizza etc. - loads in the village close by). Bedding and towels regularly changed during our stay and room cleaned. Really sorry but can’t recall the name of the lady who cleaned but she was lovely. We did make use of the rooftop bar in block B and found Arthur as described in other reviews - very helpful. Prices were v reasonable at the bar and a nice place to hang out, we thought. On our last day our suitcases were kindly held in reception (ground floor in Block A) and we were able to use the facilities to freshen up before heading up to Lindos Reception with our cases. No shower facilities. We could have, if needed, booked a room ( as one was available) for the last day. Given our pickup time we didn’t need to. It is only, at most, a 2 minute walk to the main ***** and 10 minutes to the main beach so a great location. We have already booked to return next year! To note, nearest drop off point is Lindos Reception, so quite a steep walk down ( and back up) with your luggage.

We loved the place. Stayed in block A. Spotlessly clean, well looked after and Arther is a lovely man. If you are looking for the ritz then find somewhere else, this is a proper apartment that has everything you need. A proper gem in Lindos

Just had 7 nights hear room was basic but done the job realy close to everything you need in lindos Arthur was very helpful even took are cases to pick up point every enjoyable stay also beeches are really good as are all locals
