Sportsmans Lodge Bed and Breakfast

Used as my overnight base for birdwatching in Anglesey. Couldn't fault any aspect of the stay. Good breakfast cooked to order, comfortable bed, good wi-fi and a powerful shower. Our host made me a welcome cup of tea on arrival too which was a nice touch.

We stayed at the Sportsman Lodge while on a hiking trip to Wales. The rooms were very comfortable and attractive with a guest lounge available for lounging. The breakfast was very delicious with many choices. By accident I had lost an earring in the room before checking out. The owners, Bob and Heather, found it and delivered it to our next location before I even realized it was missing.

Excellent hosts have thought of everything. Made us feel very welcome from the time we arrived to the time we left, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent and rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend this establishment to people.

The proprietors seemed to have thought of everything we might need; coffee and biscuits on arrival and a cupboard of all those little things that are easy to forget

Upon check in you receive a warm welcome and are offered a hot drink. With a friendly welcome you are given clear and useful information, they have compiled a useful handbook for any nearby necessities. The room was clean, well stocked with little extras to ensure you have everything you need. Heather is very well organised. They personalise the service you receive by making you feel welcome and chatting to you as if you have known them as friends, breakfast was delicious. They really can't do enough for you! It does feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but a quiet and lovely stay. I would definitely return when in the area and highly recommend.

On arrival was met with a drink and a snack. Shown our room and given a very comprehensive folder with WiFi code etc Breakfast was phenomenal, I foolishly had a large bowl of cereal to start. When the breakfast arrived I could not finish it all . The hosts were very professional, there if you needed them and very available. I cannot fault the cleanliness of our room and the dining area. All I can say is that we will definitely stay there again .

This is a lovely little B&B in the north of Anglesey - the facilities were good, the rooms clean and tidy and well equipped. The owners were friendly and attentive and clearly cared about the guests. It was exactly what I would hope for from a B&B like this

We stayed here for one night, prior to catching the ferry from Holyhead which is half an hour away. Lovely place to stay, very friendly and the cooked breakfast was brilliant, as good as we've had anywhere.

It is self evident that Heather and Bob have thought this through. The rooms have everything you could wish for. There are all the toiletries you could need in the bathroom cabinet. There were plenty of towels, and other extras, cushions, blankets… better than many 4* hotels I’ve stayed in. There's a kettle in the room with a wide range of drinks and free snacks. They let me put my bike in the room as it has a slate tiled floor. Bob also gave me good advice about cycling on Anglesey which I plan to heed. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order and lots of cereals available. I arrived after a very tiring bike ride, it was just heavenly to chill out in such a peaceful, tranquil place. i was touring, but I'd say Rhosgoch would a a good place to base yourself to see more of Anglesey. There's a very good bistro pub down the road too.
