Older but well updated hotel - great value for the price point. Only complaint is pictures showed a work desk, there was no work desk in my room (there was a comfortable work chair though… was able to fashion a work area out of bed tables, but it was less than great.)

Front desk staff was exceptional. Hotel is ok, a/c / heating unit was loud. Main issue I had with hotel was with management as a baby bat was wedged on windowsill and management refused to allow me to open locked window to save the bat.

I was denied the room I had reserved because I wanted to pay cash & pretty much told we could sleep in the car at 13°

Don’t like being woken up at 9am to room service people, was trying to sleep until almost check out time but didn’t cause they knocked on my door and woke me up

This is one of two go-to places for me when I visit Charlottesville and want to make it an economical trip. Excellent place to stay! It has come a long way since I was a cab driver in town and done a complete 180 of what it used to be like. The people are nice, the beds are clean and comfortable, everything made it a very enjoyable stay. The only thing they could improve would be water pressure but I have a feeling that has more to do with the shower nozzles than the actual pressure in the lines. Maybe a quick vinegar dip once a month or so would help. Other than that, A++ experience!

Pleasantly surprised! The hotel appeared to be recently renovated and as a result had nice rooms. Our room was very clean.
