Sailors Rest Riomaggiore - Cinque Terre

The view was amazing. Matched by the hospitality. We were provided plenty of cold water on arrival & welcome wine & gourmet snacks was a nice surprise. We had exceptional weather but definitely an amazing experience sipping wine 2on our private terrace watching the sun go down. Room was also exceptional, very comfy bed.

This property was right in the center of town, yet far enough away that you don’t hear the bustle of the busy street below. Room was clean and well kept. The AC worked well to keep the room cool. The BEST was the beautiful private terrace that overlooked the harbor, it was beautiful! Make sure the bring bug spray with you, the mosquitos were out. Ladies were lovely and was great to have a complimentary breakfast.

After a stressful day of travel, Andrea met us and helped us take our bags to our room. It is important to note that the stairs are "no joke"! If you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you (All of Cinque Terra is exceptionally hilly and full of steps). The room was exactly as pictured and was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was convenient and allowed us to have snacks (and prosecco!) chilled and available to enjoy on the patio/terrace. The terrace is NOT attached to the room and requires you to go up another flight of stairs (which can get a bit dicey after a few glasses of aforementioned prosecco! LOL!). Having said this, the patio/terrace is what makes this all worth while!!! The view is absolutely stunning! It was also private and spacious and it was lovely to enjoy our cocktails and "snacks" under the lemon trees. LOVED our time here and would definitely return.

It is hard to imagine a better location than this. Located right in the heart of the picture postcard Cinque Terre village of Riomaggiore, the rooms and terrace provide gorgeous views over the village and the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The room was lovely and little extras like a free mini bar and bottle of Prosecco on arrival made us feel very welcome. We cannot recommend SailorsRest enough as the perfect small hotel for a relaxing hideaway which is at the same time just metres away from the hustle and bustle of the charming village of Riomaggiore.

Pros-Great location. Loved the terrace! Cute little apartment setup. Clean and comfortable. Cons-musty smell, cross-flow air was possible with windows. However, they needed smaller screens to keep mosquitoes out.

Wonderful terrace with the best view of Riomaggiore. It's the terrace that makes the accommodation worth every penny. The room itself has the facilities promised, although the air conditioner and dehumidifier are quite noisy, and the handover of the key was a little awkward but worked. A bit of a hurdle is ok for the happiness of staying overnight in one of the most beautiful villages on earth.

We had an incredible stay and enjoyed the private balcony (and view) immensely. All was exactly as listed and in pristine condition. Highly recommend!
