La Terra Del Mezzo

10/10 We found Sicilian hospitality at it’s best! When you stay at La Terra Del Mezzo you will be treated to some of the most delicious food in Sicily and also the kindest people too. Add in the beautiful gardens, and groves of fragrant lemon & orange trees, and you have the perfect Sicilian Agriturismo experience! Thank you to our host Claudio and his family for their truly exceptional hospitality and care during our stay - it was world class! Someday we will come back to enjoy this gem of a place again! Has this place lost its glory? We had a family 2 weeks journey on Sicily for our first time and wanted to experience the local and friendliness culture of this island. We stayed at 5 different places and La terra Del Mezzo was one of them. We had seen some good reviews, nice pictures and great location. We were hoping for a local star! The place is located close to a small village and feels nice. But the streets and the overall area is full of garbage so it reflects a bad review of the overall place. Nothing much the owners can do but if it was my place I would at least clean “my” street. The place is nice, it’s ok but nothing more. It feels like the place had its glory days but and is slowly fading away. To sad, since it could be a star. The real life is nothing like the pictures shows. The rooms are old and needs some renovation. Things are broken that should have been repaired. We even complained about one broken thing and got promised it should be fixed. But nothing happened. Things like the door handle for the refrigerator is broken so it can’t be opened or towel hanger, the shower door, a missing light bulb, the shadow doors for the windows can’t be locked opened and a broken bed. The list gets longer and longer the longer you stay. All broken and can be easily fixed. But they are not. The same goes for the pool and restaurant. A lot of things are broken. Chairs by the pool, curtains by the Terrace etc. Even the pool should be cleaned more regular. The pool area also got a small kiosk. But we never saw it open. The breakfast is traditional Italien but with a great choice of home made cakes? At least they felt home made. We wanted to spend more time by the place and pool but because of all the above things we did not. The owners and family are very nice. The want you all the best and I believe they still got the dreams and spirit of the place. But did the place suffer to much of the pandemic or have they lost the spirit?

Situé au calme, au sein même du domaine agricole des exploitants, l’hôtel offre un accueil chaleureux et de grandes chambres sobres et confortables.Piscine très agréable également. La localisation est parfaite : entre Taormine, Catane et l’Etna. Nous avons été ravis d’avoir pris la 1/2 pension : repas 4 services absolument délicieux…et très copieux ! Une belle adresse à recommander.

Séjour à la hauteur de nos attentes Chambres très bien même si la climatisation et surtout le petit frigo font un peu trop de bruit pour une nuit parfaitement calme Salle de bain un peu désuète où il manque un endroit pour poser des affaires de toilette et une douche un peu petite Le tout parfaitement propre La piscine très bien mais attention aux transats cassés Environnement immédiat idéal aussi bien les plantations de l’endroit que les champs de citronniers que la vue sur l’Etna Les repas du soir sont excellents avec peut-être des desserts un peu simples Les petits déjeuners très corrects mais pas exceptionnels non plus Les personnes à l’accueil ou au service sont un peu trop distantes et pas toujours souriantes mais parfaitement disponibles Globalement un très bon séjour si on fait rapidement abstraction de la saleté des routes et villages environnants

Siamo stati in questo posto speciale per qualche giorno. L'agriturismo, che si trova in un luogo tranquillo e circondato da ettari di agrumeti, ti fa ricaricare le pile dalla routine di tutti i giorni. I proprietari ti fanno sentire a casa, sono gentilissimi e disponibili. I pasti sono preparati da loro, con prodotti locali e di qualità. Cosa che abbiamo apprezzato molto. Un ringraziamento particolare a Gianni, uno dei proprietari, perchè quando ne abbiamo avuto bisogno ci ha fatto capire perché in quel luogo ci si sente a casa. Le stanze sono grandi e pulite, la piscina è bellissima, con vista sul territorio circostante. Lo consigliamo per il luogo e per il cibo, ma soprattutto per la professionalità, la disponibilità e la gentilezza dei proprietari.

Séjour parfait en famille. Un petit hôtel avec vue sur l’Etna. Les chambres sont spacieuses et les enfants bénéficient de leur propre chambre avec 2 lits simples. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et les dîners sont faits maison par une cuisinière hors paire. Le personnel est aux petits soins et le propriétaire est extraordinaire ! Claudio nous a été d’une aide précieuse allant jusqu’à prendre du temps pour me déposer à la gare et m’aider à m’y retrouver pour prendre mes billets de train. Il est d’une gentillesse à toute épreuve ! Allez-y les yeux fermés.
