Place is dated. Killed a cockroach and the shower was dated and dirty.
Labor Day weekend. - 3 rooms used . Telling.

It is right on the Rock River, across from the famous "Blackhawk" statue. A little pricey, in my opinion, but what I needed. I had visited 50 years ago!!!

Nicely decorated room. Very creative. Could have been a bit cleaner. Internet was inconsistent. Flies kept getting in, I don't know how. Spiders too.

The floors in room were dirty, the dispensers for soap were not working, beds were very uncomfortable and the rooms were never cleaned or supplied with clean towels, etc. We requested new towels and it took all day to get them as the managers were not there and office was closed!

My stay was great. There were a couple of small problems in the room, but the manager took care of them promptly and everything was fine.

Cockroaches! Soap dispensers either didn't work or were empty. Water leakage coming from wall behind shower. Loose toilet seat. Had to hold toilet handle to flush. However, they were very accommodating regarding late check-in. Room 8.

I think overall everything about the Chateau is clean, well maintained.
The one think that was not so great was the internet. Sure I had access in the evening but not in the morning. My trip was for fishing, I wanted to check the radar, but could not. I could not check email, FB account. The connection kept timing out. If you say you have internet, then make sure you have internet,
