Lovely little boutique hotel. Many plus points Service, cleanliness, friendliness. Good food and cocktails. All of the staff are lovely. Cocktails by the pool were hotel quality, often in other locations they have been less good at the pool, not here. Special mention for Chester, who is fun, friendly and a great barman. The food menu changes every 2 days, except for breakfast. We were able to find everything we wanted on the menu. (One downside was that we both came down with travellers tummy troubles, probably due to shellfish) The restaurant staff are friendly and generally efficient. Yes, we did have to wait a little longer than ideal on a couple of occasions, but given the food quality and the dining atmosphere we were not too concerned about this. We just sat back and took a little longer to enjoy. Special mention to Jane our server on many occasions, she was fun and efficient. A cool box with drinks from the bar ( beer, water, soft drinks) was a great service on days that we went to the beach. Like other reviewers, we agree that there are not enough sun loungers at the pool. Having said that, the walk to the beach is very easy and special mention here too, for Valerie and Barry on the beach who looked after us, found us loungers and umbrellas etc. They made going to the beach a pleasure. The gym - unfortunately this could do with much improvement. It feels unloved and was extremely limited, limited selection of equipment and some basic items broken (treadmill in particular). Not a particularly pleasant space and not well air conditioned either. Recommend - Pidgeon Island, the Friday night street party and the catamaran cruise to see the Pitons. All in all, a very enjoyable stay at the Soco House St Lucia.
