InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace, an IHG Hotel

Good service friendly staff location good

IHG Diamond Ambassador here, I stay at a lot of Intercontinetals throughout the year. This review covers my recent 3 night stay in Rome. I really wanted to love this hotel. For one, the staff are all incredibly hospitable and lovely. Secondly the hotel is really well situated and beautifully decorated. But it misses the mark on the most important criteria - sleep quality. It is by far the noisiest hotel I have stayed at in the past year. Absurdly so. 1) with the millions that must have gone into the renovation, and being located on a major road, it’s incredible how poor the exterior facing doors/windows are. You can literally hear every car drive by, not to mention CONSTANT buses, sirens, motorcycles. Zero soundproofing. Major design fail. 2) the fire doors to the rooms are very thick and heavy. Which means every time someone enters or leave's their room, the door slams shut. To the extent that my room shook every time someone on the floor above, below or on my floor come or left. On one knight this happened at least ~80 times. 3) the house keeping team does a very thorough job, you can hear the vacuums and furniture being moved 3 doors down Honestly, at this price point, this is a major problem. Good luck trying to get any sleep or work from the room. As much as it pains me to say, I will not be staying here again. Which is a shame, because everything else was great.

Swift, welcoming check in. Personally I love the black walls/doors and black/grey swirl carpet on the room floors although it may be a "marmite" thing. Room is a comfortable size, hospitality tray ok, coffee good. Liked the welcome biscuits and chocolate. The housekeeping was standard, not thorough alas but certainly nothing major (just not as good as you would expect in this category of hotel). Good size bathroom. Excellent shower pressure. Good hairdryer. Lots of soft, quality towels. The bed was comfortable although I did not like the mattress and pillow protectors with the plastic material. Quite horrid. Sufficient usb charging points etc. Balcony small and one chair. In the second floor room you can hear minimal traffic noise at times but it wasn't obtrusive. Rooftop bar is fun although not special views. Decent DJ. All staff are cheery For me it is a typical standard IHG hotel in this category.

We had a wonderful long weekend in Rome staying at this beautiful and historic hotel in a fantastic location on the famous Via Veneto. We were a 5 min walk to the Cappucin monks and Piazza Barberini where many tours started, or 15 min walk to the Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps. The hotel is very well appointed with really delicious food from Scarpetta NYC and a great roof top bar. Everyone working at the hotel was lovely and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. As a Platinum member, we also received a room upgrade and welcome gifts which made our stay even more special. We highly recommend the Intercontinental Ambasciatori and can’t wait to return.

We had high expectations for this Hotel, and while our stay was fine, I was extremely displeased with the tour the concierge arranged for us. We paid a premium and yet had to wait over an hour in line, having to then rush the entire experience. This kind of service is definitely not what’s expected from an establishment of this caliber, and I would've without doubt asked for a refund if it happened in the summer.

We had an outstanding stay at the Intercontinental in Rome. The hotel is beautifully appointed, central, and accessible, and by far, it is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a while. The guest services manager was superb and made us feel incredibly welcome as if nothing was too much trouble. World-class Executive Chef Ricardo Ioanna spoiled us, and we thank Samuel de Luca for taking good care of us, too.

The location is great. The rooms are lovely. The shower experience is top notch. The bars and restaurants have a great ambiance. Would recommend a stay at this hotel whole heartedly. Will definitely be back when visiting Rome again. Shout out to the team - Grazie Mille!

Christian Galotti head concierge has taken care of our family for 5 days. He has found exciting venues to visit and great restaurants. Christian is the ultimate concierge. The Intercontinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace Hotel is fabulous. Housekeeping is excellent. The restaurant food is good. Service progressively improved as we made suggestions. Rome is noisy and this hotel is remarkably quiet. This hotel is a five star for me.

A well central located Hotel in one of the most glamour street of Rome. The hotel is brand new in a beautiful historical palace. Service is great, with professional and frendly staff and delicious food at Scarpetta restaurant. The only downside is the noise you have in the bedroom. I was expecting a proper soundproofing instead of being disturbed by the traffic since early morning.
