Locanda Al Viminale

What a perfect choice for our first visit to Rome! We had very good communications with Erika before we arrived, Good English skills and quick to respond to questions. We arrived at the Roma Termini station on the Leonardo Express from the airport and had an easy third of a mile walk with wheeled luggage to the Locanda. Erika was there to meet us and set us up in our room. The location is awesome. One block north is Via Nazionale which you can follow a half mile southwest to Trajans Column, Altare della Patria and the nearest entry area for the ancient forum ruins. To the northeast in about a quarter mile is the Reppublica Metro station where you can ride the subway to the Ottaviano station near the vatican. We walked from the Locanda to all the major sights, Pantheon, Trevi, Borghese Villa. I am 70 my wife 65. The location made our explorations very easy! When we left for Florence on the train we had another easy walk with wheeled luggage. Nearby restaurants were very nice. Our favorite was Antica Pizzeria Est Est Est. Nice, small family place, very close by. Get a "Pinsa" for something different. On the ground floor of the same building is Ristorante "Al Viminale" also great food. The Locanda provided continental breakfast was sufficient to get us going with hot Cappuccino, juice, fresh croissants, yogurt and toast and jam. Erica also arranged for a private driver to get us back to the airport at 4:30 in the morning. So, thank you Erica and Locanda al Viminale for making our first Rome visit so very nicer!

Great family friendly hotel with friendly staff. Thanks to Erika we felt very welcomed. We stayed with two kids and the room had additional single bed and also provided a cot bed for baby. The location of the hotel is great. It is close to the station, to the metro and to main sights.

I can't fault Locanda Al Viminale! For me it was a central base- via Nationale is the main road that leads to many places. A decent 15-20 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain, 7 minutes to Roma Termini, Colosseum 20 minutes walk. There is a police station next to the hotel and a lovely little restaurant next door with street tables and delicious food:) Erika was very swift with her communication before my trip and organsied a private taxi form the Airport (FCO) to the hotel for 60euros. Erika met me at the front door with a welcome and put me and (my heavy suitcase) in the lift. The hotel is a B&B but it suited me very well, it was clean, the bed was large with a firm(slim) matress, I had room 1 and it had a small outside terrace - enough for 2 people - not street view but Erika had pre-told me about this. The breakfast is continetal with delicious choice of croissants- yum and placed on a tray when you require it. The recpetion is serviced during day working hours and both reception staff were very helpful :) I'd definately stay here again for it's locality, safety and good service Grazie Mille!

Fuyez... Hôtel bien situé mais c'est tout ! Mobilier abîmé, literie à revoir : matelas creusé, odeurs de remontée d'égout dans la salle de bains, lunette des WC pas adaptée, petit déjeuner avec produits premiers prix, la locataire du dessus insupportable, bruyante jusqu'à minuit ... et j'en passe....

E'la seconda volta che soggiorno in questo comodo b&b,poche camere,pulite. Personale gentilissimo,sempre a disposizione nel soddisfare ogni esigenza.la colazione in camera e' molto gradita. La posizione comoda per gli spostamenti nel centro storico e la stazione termini. Zona tranquilla. Ottimo rapporto qualita' prezzo. Raccomandato!

Posto pulito, servizio buono, personale gentile e accomodante. Per quello che abbiamo pagato per due notti è stata una buona esperienza. Camera e bagno puliti, colazione in camera ottima. Una bella esperienza che se mai tornerò a Roma so già dove chiamare per cercare posto dove dormire.

La ubicacion perfecta, a unos 15-20 mins andando de todos los sitios importantes como el coliseo (anfiteatro flavio), la fontana de trevi o la piazza del popolo. La atencion muy buena, al igual que la limpieza de las habitaciones. La chica de la recepción fue muy amable y nos ayudó con todas las dudas. Realmente es un gran sitio en el que hospedarse. Muy muy recomendable

Basamos nuestra selección en las calificaciones pero asumimos que hubo un cambio de administración en el alojamiento porque no cumplió con ninguna expectativa. El desayuno es muy pobre y no tiene ninguna proteína, sólo pan y mermeladas. No cuenta con amenidades sólo gel de baño. La habitación era muy pequeña y la cama rechinaba, incluso una tabla se salió mientras dormíamos. El asiento del baño no correspondía al excusado y pellizqué mi pierna con el. El baño siempre huele muy mal y aunque no creo que el hotel pueda quitar el olor a drenaje, podría controlarlo mejor. El personal es muy amable. Fuimos con otra pareja que eligió otro hotel por el mismo precio y su experiencia no fue nada mala como la nuestra. La ubicación es muy buena y el vecindario es lindo.

Excelente ubicación, a unos 10 min de Termini, a cinco minutos del metro Repubblica, a unos 10 minutos de Trevi. Sitios cercanos para comer-cenar. El desayuno te lo sirven en la habitación, café, zumo, croissant, tostadas, yogur, todo muy bueno. El personal muy amable y predispuesto a ayudarte en lo necesario. He estado en Roma cinco veces y nunca he repetido alojamiento. La próxima quizá lo haga ☺️
