Hotel Kent

Hotel is worth the price. 2km from all the famous attractions. Hotel staff very friendly and can speak English. Room a little bit small and no AC. (Or didn’t work) Restaurants nearby. Good value for money.

Sami who is in charge of reception, he was our angel. He was very helpful and friendly. We were very happy to work with him. Thank you very much

Don't stay at this hotel in the summer. One their website the pictures of very room show and AC unit. The one in our room did not work so they just put a fan in there. I went to the desk and asked them to fix the unit or move me to another room. They did neither and said "we are not required to provide working AC units in the room" I said every picture on their website showed an AC unit in the room. They said yes- but we are not required to have them working. I asked for a refund as it was 95 degree's in the room. They replied that their policy was no refunds. We spent a miserable night in the room and checked out the next morning (a day early) and moved to another hotel down the street.

Our tree night stay in Hotel Kent was very comfortable. A very clean room and friendly employee. The location of the hotel was ok, we could walk to the main touristic areas in ca. 20 minutes. If we go to Rome again, we will not look for another hotel

Avoid staying here if you can. Booked an 8 night stay for about 70 dollars a night (found it pretty cheap if you ask me). When I arrived the receptionist was very warm and welcoming. She explained all the details for the hotel, how you have to leave the key when you leave and how to use the key box. Then she told me my room had been upgraded to a room with a bathroom (which I thought was pretty weird since all hotels have a private bathroom). Anyways, I get to my room, on a hot summer day, only to find out the AC doesn’t work…. Instead, the room had two small turning fans. I thought to my self, f.. it, it would cool off at night. I proceeded to go out for a walk and to get some water. When I came back, surprise, the little refrigerator doesn’t work either. At which point, I went to the receptionist to find out that my “economic” room does not include ac or refrigerator. So now, I’m seating in my hot a… room writing this lovely review, so others don’t be as surprised as I am. P.S in the US even a $40-50 dollar room had AC.

Positives: - Friendly and helpful staff. We booked colosseum tickets with the lady at reception. Other excursions were available to book too. - Good location. We paid €24 each for a weekly bus pass and could get to all the main attractions easily by bus. - Room was cleaned daily and we felt overall the hotel was clean. Negatives: - No air conditioning which is not ideal as the temperature varied from 30 to 36 degrees celsius while we were there. There was a fan in our room but the hotel advertises air conditioning as one of their amenities. This needs to be removed if they aren’t going to let guests use it. - No mini fridge which again would have been ideal for cold drinks in the heat. - No bin. Only a small bin in the bathroom usually used for sanitary towels etc. - I would recommend taking your own hairdryer as the one in the bathroom wasn’t very powerful and weird to hold as it was more like a vacuum cleaner. - Stingy with toilet paper. The cleaner would only leave one roll and one day didn’t even do that. I think the hotel is good value compared to other hotels in Rome if you are on a budget. But they are definitely slacking when it comes to their amenities. The main one being air conditioning especially in the height of summer. I wouldn’t have booked if I knew there would be no air con.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing.

On arrival staff couldn’t tell us a thing about the place told us there wasn’t laundry service or there was but it was down the street 6 minutes walk, when it was listed in the hotels details. Asked another staff member the next day they said they did have laundry service. stayed two nights the first night the shower filled with water and couldn’t drain and the second no hot water and when asked the staff they said you have to get in quick. They made up for it tho gave us a free coffee for not being able to have a shower for 2 days. YAY
