Fantastic location and receptionist service were a perfect match, when we visited. Having booked via *********** their system had messed up the appartment we had ordened. However, the Young guy - Abu - at the reception handled it super cool and we were offered to stay in the great “Vesterhavshytte” near the sea and with great amenities. Our best recommendation.

Hotel's facilities are worse than a 20-USD motel or a 15-euro dormitory.
Do NOT think of this as a hotel or cottage. It's a "room" with uncleaned facilities. For taking shower or toilet, go venture through the grass.
You won't be able to sleep in a room full of flies and mites, a bed with bloodstains and unidentifiable stains.
Sheets? Sheets and towels cost 120 kroner. can you believe it? The most worthless 120 kroner ever seen.
I know it is located an island and is in a high-price country Denmark, but still Ican't believe how much I paid for this hotel.

The cabin had rotten floors, especially the decking. The stairs up to the cabin were ruined so it was a 1m drop to climb. The door was hard to open since it was stuck to the decking floor.
Inside the oven did not work, the glasses had lipstick marks and there were all sorts of bugs everywhere, from small to big.
The common areas like the showers were muddy, and mostly cold water.
We were supposed to stay for three nights, but after two nights with killing bugs and balancing on rotten floors we gave up and left.

Excellent choice for a xmas holiday. I Stayed there half pension over xmas and had a very good time. A buffet of all the best from the kitchen of Southern Denmark together with the true danish xmas dishes. The international and danish staff were professionals , always merry, goodhumoured and patient and the room was next to the swimmingpool (icy) and electronically fuldt equipped and up to date. Enjoy the Rømø Marsh and Walks by the Waddell sea and join the oyster-plcking. Tour -, very good fun . I fully recommend the full package.

We lived in an apartment with our family and had an amazing stay. The food was really good and the pool and playground was great for the kids. We also did a ride to the beach which was an amazing experience. We will come back!

We enjoyed our two days with breakfast and dinner included. February is out of season, there were several delicious dishes to choose from and starters and desserts. Our room was cozy, and staff always accommodating.

We stayed at Hotel Kommandoergaarden for a week's horseriding holiday and had an excellent time. We stayed in a Wadden Sea Cabin, which was comfortable and had plenty of room for two. The stairs up to the second bedroom are steep which might be an issue for some. Pleasant seating areas outside the cabin. The breakfast was very good, with a decent selection of fruit, yogurt cereal, bread and cheese etc. Our package included a buffet dinner. Unfortunately the buffet main dishes were all meat or fish! We were able to order from the menu, but feel that the buffet should cater for vegetarians. The quality of food was very good. The riding was fantastic, lovely horses and virtually no road work. The pools and steam room were ideal for relaxing after a ride. In general the staff were helpful, however the restaurant and stables

Nachdem ich die unglaublich schlechten Bewertungen gelesen habe, muss ich einfach eine Gegendarstellung schreiben. Ich bin schon öfter im Kommandoergaarden gewesen und war immer zufrieden. Netter Empfang, nettes Personal, nette Chefin. Ja, das Hotel ist schon älter, aber es wird ständig renoviert und verbessert. Das geht natürlich nicht alles auf einmal.... Das Essen ist immer sehr gut, vom preis her angemessen (Dänemark ist nun mal etwas teurer). Es wäre schön, wenn das zweite Waschhaus wieder geöffnet würde, dann ist der Weg nicht so weit. Doppelbelegung auf dem Platz habe ich noch nicht erlebt, eigentlich ist immer genügend Platz vorhanden.Zu den Festivals mag das anders sein. Ich werde jedenfalls immer wieder kommen, Fischessen und Reiten auf den Isländern gehört für mich dazu!
