Pool was fantastic for kids an the hotel was spotless.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Totally spotless. Housekeeping do an amazing job. The food is varied and cooked in front of you on the grill. All the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The Saturday gala dinner is superb. Pool area is vast and there are plenty of sun beds. I’m looking forward to returning in September.

Our favourite Spanish holiday, the hotel was beautiful, very clean, lovely rooms with 2 big beds, air con and ceiling fan, the staff were lovely throughout the hotel, the pool was amazing, loads of beds, water slides, jacuzzi’s, kids pool, bar staff were lovely, very friendly, location was fabulous loads of bars and places to eat, definitely coming back, we would definitely recommend 100%

We booked this because it was affordable for everyone in our group. It’s is as you would expected for the price. The hotel is a bit dated and shabby, a little disappointing compared to the pictures. Definitely overdue some updating. We booked bed a breakfast. The breakfast is fine, usual buffet type breakfast. Sometimes a bit slow to be replenished with bread for the toaster etc… There were never any issues getting sunbeds but we stayed at the end of the season. Over all, fine and as expected for the price.

Wondeful stay. Hotel in the "old" style (built 1988) but lovely ceramics, tiling and marble with a magnificent atrium/ reception area, hanging with vines plus fig trees. Not "dated" and "tired" as stated in other reviews. Mainly Spanish guests and staff but all very tolerant of our lack of Spanish. Why is it that the Brits expect Spanish to speak English but we are the visitors and don't bother to learn Spanish? Food was not really to our taste but plenty of it with (bit tepid sometimes). Breakfast excellent but lunch/ dinner very samey. Pool area huge and freeform with good area for children and lots of sunbeds/parasols, some needing a bit of TLC. All in all, a great stay.

We booked our stay just a few days before arriving - myself, my husband, and our 13 year old twin boys. We arrived at the hotel around 9am, only to be informed that our room wouldn't be ready until 2pm and our all inclusive package wouldn't start until we had our room. This was disappointing, especially as we were scheduled to leave at 7am on our departure day. We left our suitcases in a locked room and headed to the pool area. Fortunately, I had packed the boys swim shorts and towels in their hand luggage, so they were able to jump straight in the pool. To pass time, we decided to head to the beach, but we couldn't access it as a room key was required. We finally received our room key just before 2pm. Our holiday wasn't off to the best start! The room itself was very clean and spacious enough for the for of us, with a limited pool view since we were towards the end of the block. The air con was good and the beds were comfortable. The shower was nice too. The hotel is predominantly Spanish (95% of the guests) Some of the entertainment team could speak little English, others none at all, and two of them spoke English well. The entertainment team were good, but you had to approach them to participate - they wouldn't invite you to join in. The evening entertainment was entirely Spanish. I thought the shows were good, particularly "The Lion King" however my husband and sons didn't rate the evening entertainment highly. They did enjoy the daytime games once they included themselves and were able to join in. The majority of the staff spoke little English, making communication difficult. The all inclusive wasn't clearly explained; we had to figure it out on our own. The food in the restaurant was excellent - probably the best I've experienced at an all-inclusive. There was a good variety without being overwhelming. I'm vegetarian, my husband and sons are not, and we all enjoyed the food without any upset stomachs. There were plenty of salads, pasta, meats and fish. Special mention goes to one of the waiters, Alonso, who was fantastic with the boys and made us feel very welcome in the restaurant throughout our stay. The drink selection was also very good, branded spirits, bottled beers, nice wine in restaurant and slushies. The hotel was extremely clean - the staff work hard to ensure rooms, pool area, toilets and bars are kept very clean. There were no wasps, which I found a huge bonus. No trouble finding sunbeds, got them in our preferred spot everyday. The hotel could do with some TLC; there were a few broken tiles in and around the pool area. However the pool is amazing - perfect temperature, very large and deep, with relaxing water features. We had the pool to ourselves between 2-4pm as all the Spanish guests disappeared during that time. My husband was very disappointed to learn the beach bar/restaurant wasn't included in the all-Inclusive package. On arrival was told that 3 of our party were not all inclusive when the other 12 were. I had to email the head office on several occasions during a 2 hour wsit at check in for them to confirm we were all inc. Carlos was the most rude and unhelpful check in manager I have ever come across. He left me half way through a conversation to check in some Spanish guests!! We were never told about what the A/I coveted, nor anything about pool areas bars etc. hotel was very clean on a plus side. Pool area was extremely dangerous. From wet tiles thst are not slip resistor so one of our party fell hurting her arm and head, various other people fell too leading me to go look for the yellow wet floor signs as no staff member took any notice. A lady slipped and broke her ankle another based their heads. The pool is far to deep and badly positioned as the deep end is by the toddler pool!! Another lady slipped walking downstairs and needed stitches in her elbow. Very rude waiting staff both In bars and restaurant. Food Luke warm. No where to tell you what I’ve creams are included I. The a/I which is an ice pole or small tub and of course everything else thst is on display for kids to see is expensive. No fresh orange juice only at breakfast unless you pay. We have been to the zimbali hotel and the calida and they are far superior, had we been to the capriccio first we would never of tried the other hotels. A very stressful holiday keeping everyone safe around the pool and the rudeness was inexcusable. If you don’t want the British at your hotel which is quiet obvious then don’t advertise with British tour companies. Oh and there was no gym as was in the hotel description plus the coffee shop/bar attached to the hotel on the prom is actually not included in the a/I either although agsin write up makes you believe it is. We certainly would not go back to the Capricho ☹️

We booked this holiday 3 weeks before going. Having been to the area 3 times previous we have walked past this hotel numerous times ahd commented on how lovely it looks. Mixed reviews as always on here but if you’re in any way nervous about any of the reviews I can’t stress enough to just ignore them! This hotel is incredibly clean. I sat one morning and watched the army of cleaners and pool staff scrub the pool and area around. They did this each morning and it was immaculate. The cleaning staff inside the hotel do an incredible job and at no point did we see anything dirty and I’d say we are very fussy with cleanliness! There was also no difficult ‘towel dash’ in a morning - all seemed quite relaxed and well organised. Never struggled to get the sunbeds we wanted when I came down at 8.55 in the morning. The bar staff are good and they have plenty on at all times, never waited more than 2 minutes for a drink! Within this area of Spain it is always slightly more difficult with the language barrier due to it being a very Spanish resort but it’s lovely being around Spanish people and not just constant English! The staff work hard to figure out what it is you want or need! Like all things there are always going to be some improvements and in our opinion using your room card for the all inclusive is a real pain! Always having to carry it and remember to take it with you, having to give it to each other to go and get a drink is a bit annoying. Not the end of the world but wrist bands would be better in my opinion! We would have like a small self serve area for soft drinks and tap beer like you often find at all inclusive hotels. Maybe a little snack area with burgers etc but you could get tapas at the bar and a couple of days they did a BBQ by the bar. It wasn’t always clear what the all inclusive options were, the menu says some things are a supplement but in some of the bars they are on the all inclusive - this could be made more clear. The food is probably the best all inclusive food we’ve had - it’s not a huge selection but the quality is better than some hotels with massive selections! We never struggled to find a table for 5 people at a meal time. Occasionally at breakfast time we had to walk around for a minute or so to find one but that was all! We found pink chicken one night - we all picked up the same chicken and all of them were pink so this was a bit off putting but no one ate it and no one was ill! Animation team! They are the best group of staff we have ever seen at a hotel! The effort and work they put in is unbelievable! They are not at all pushy to join in anything but the shows they put on at night are amazing!! They were fantastic with the kids and were just all round brilliant! Again all very Spanish but most of them could speak in English too. All in all a brilliant 10 days away! Best all inclusive hotel we’ve been to for the rating and price!!
