Almadraba Park Hotel

Świetny weekend z dala od Barcelony. Hotel posiada cichą plażę, niedaleko głównej plaży Roses. 3 oddzielne restauracje. Wliczone w cenę śniadanie w formie bufetu, bardzo dobre. Personel mówi po angielsku, hiszpańsku, katalońsku i francusku. Pojechałem do początku szlaku obok Portlligat i zrobiłem 6-kilometrową wędrówkę do Cap Creuces - bardzo dobrze.

We went to see the hotel to see if this could be an option for next year. In spanish I explained we were visiting for this purpose We were answered in a rare unfriendly manner and were looked at the entire 15 minutes When my wife returned she mentioned she experienced the same Aside from the treatment only the location and the garden made a great impression Hotel feels old and treatment old fashioned Could be the form of the day, but I think in this business you especially should give your visitors a feeling of welcome For free we would not even want to stay Because for us it is about feeling pleasant and a guest

We have returned to this hotel nearly every year for more than a decade. It is truly exceptional: the location is superb being right on top of a beautiful beach. The facilities are also excellent - tennis, pools, other sports, as is the hotel restaurant. Moreover the staff are welcoming and efficient - it is really nice to see the same friendly faces each year - a mark of a well-run establishment. Looking forward to returning in 2024!

We booked a suite, unfortunately the suite that is shown on the website is not a true reflection on all the suites. 306 is the best suite with a large terrace, we were initially put in 307 with two tiny balconies and poor view, after declining we were shown various rooms, until they eventually put us in a suite we paid for 305 ( why this wasn’t done straight away), this has a adequate balcony and nice view. The suites has a lounge, it has all the allure of a doctors waiting room, in fact all the furnishing is well past it’s best. The lady on the reception who was there the night we arrived has no customer skills and appears to be unable to communicate or create a rapport with customers. On leaving we came down, explained we need to pay the bill, the words she muttered do you want to pay by card…. No good morning, no have you had a nice stay, have a safe journey. Apart from a couple of managers, the entire hotel is staff by very young seasonal staff, have little concept of customer service skills and is very hot and miss. We had a dog with us, you are charged a supplement and no water dish, dog treats are in the room, most hotels do. You can take the dog to breakfast ( which has a good selection) with you in the restaurant if you sit outside near the grass, which is perfectly acceptable, however in the evening the same restaurant and lay out is set for dinner, but you can’t take your dog, even thou you can still sit outside at the edge near the grass…..makes no sense. The big plus, is the grounds are lovely and extensive, you can access the beach and coves, a couple of restaurants are on the beach but generally close at 8pm. Roses centre is about 10 mins drive away and plenty to explore there. Hotel has parking behind locked gates, so safe. Overall the hotel has really nice location, level of staff is very hit and miss, dreadful receptionist and the rooms need a revamp especially the lounges to the suites..

Lovely hotel in fabulous position. The hotel is situated about 3miles outside Roses and the hotel shuttle service does not operate in May and local buses don’t start until June 1st so you have to either walk or get a taxi which cost €28 return. There is no table d’hote menu only a la carte which is very expensive.

Unbelievable views. Classy hotel twist of modern retro. Wonderful service and one of the best dinners we have had in Costa Brava! Highly recommended!!

A very good hotel with an extraordinary view across the bay of roses

This hotel is used by Great Rail Journeys but I think the hotel staff do not want to serve tour groups. The service was poor, the waiters/waitresses were at times rude and mostly unhelpful. Requests for additional items such as vegetables at meals were ignored. Even the mineral water was rationed! - one half glass per person. The breakfast was adequate but not nearly as good as other hotels we have stayed at in the Spanish islands. There are no disabled facilities at the hotel and many of the steps were worn and there were not enough handrails. The pool was very good of an equal depth throughout as was the small whirlpool but there were not always staff on hand to provide towels or drinks. The shuttle bus ran only twice a day with an 8 hour gap and it did not always turn up. Taxis were very expensive although there was a local bus which seemed to run regularly

Once again a perfect stay thanks to staff and management of Almadraba Park Hotel. Service is super friendly, and any question, request or doubt are answered and responded to effectively and without any reservation. Hospitality with capital H. Dinner options are top classic cuisine, utterly refined in taste and high quality ingredients. Makes use of local produce. Generous breakfast with wide variety of options. Excellent wines, many of them from the region, but wider options are plenty. The location is stunning, offering a wide view on Roses bay, with its stunning sunsets and skies that are different each day. The hotel has extensive gardens, a great large pool with all amenities (sun beds, towels, bar, parasols), while the beach is only a few steps away. A lounge available for reading, conversation, or enjoy some games. Some options for EV charging, parking space, a gym. Staying here is carefree and an oasis, perfect to detach from your everyday buzz, work, problems etc. No screaming TV and news broadcast, radio, newspapers, big screen collective football warching, and no parties or loud groups imposing themselves on others. Quite rare these days! The interior design is tasteful and discrete, set up to create a relaxed but comfortable ambiance. Lots of details to regional history and art. Bus stop right at the entrance to take you comfortable to Roses city Center. Almadraba have kept up their service and quality levels post-pandemic, which is remarkable, for n view of the large facilities, terrain and services that need to be maintained. The region has lots of cultural, culinary and historic experiences to offer, next to beachlife and water sports. The complete package of quality, service, and location is very high value. One of the best in the wider region and probably few can match it, if any.
