The management and customer service of the hotel or hostel are very poor. I did not stay there due to overbooking but waited in the lobby for 2.5 hours, though I booked a room more than 2 months before the 4-night stay. Besides, our booking was non-refundable.
When we arrived at the place at around 8pm, we were immediately told that there was no room for us due to overbooking, showing that they knew such situation before our arrival.
There are 3 ridiculous matters:
1. They just asked if we needed them to arrange another hotel for us after our arrival, but not contacting us before that. Otherwise, we could get to the new hotel directly. Of course we needed a room!
2. They took about 1.25 hours to find another hotel room for us. The time taken was unreasonably long.
3. They took another 1.25 hours to call a taxi to pick us from their place to another hotel. We were told originally that the waiting time was 10-15 minutes. The time taken was again unreasonably long.
As a result, we wasted 2.5 hours waiting and worrying when and where we would stay. We also lost our rest and dinner time.
P.S. I write this review after more than 2 months as I had been out of town. I still remember this bad bad experience and spend time writing this to let other potential customers know such possibility. Maybe I have all along been lucky in room booking. This still remains my only experience: waiting at the lobby for 2.5 hours for their handling of overbooking. Or...their management and customer service are exceptionally poor among hotels or hostels in the world!
