At the check in the receptionist started telling us that there is no tomorrow for this world, no future, we are all doomed, game is over. This was not the exact welcome we were expecting for a detox week. We were unfortunate to have the same lady do the check out for us. She has refused to print out the restaurant bills included in the final hotel bill, moreover she has accused us of killing the trees. Well, we did insist on having the proofs of payment which we checked only in the car as we rushed to leave the place. The irony is that some waiter has put on our room (we will never know why…) around 200 CHF bill for a dinner in their main restaurant that we have never had (we ate at the bar that night). We had to call to the hotel 3 times, no reaction. Then we started writing emails. We did receive the reimbursement, however we lost 30% on the FX transaction (paying, receiving the transfer). We have never heard any apology from the hotel: business as usual I suppose. Ok, on the plus side: location is fantastic, royal breakfast, 2 out of 3 DJs we have really liked, the room was silent, spacious, very clean with a fantastic view. The hotel is very clean, swimming pool is quite clean. Cleaning service was very good. Food in general was very fresh, well done, except for aubergine au parmesan which was burned from both sides (they do need to rethink the recipe). Sushi was very good. Some waiters were really top trained, contributing well to the lounge atmosphere. Overall we had a good stay with tiny bitter aftertaste. We would still recommend this hotel for all its pluses, the lobby/bar is something really spectacular, just double check everything before you pay.
