This place was great. Out first trip to St. Augustine. We will be coming back. Every one at the hotel was so helpful and polite. Location was great and a great starter breakfast. Location was great. . The trolley pick us at the hotel. Great fun great history. If you go make sure to visit the place with the Big Cross . You can walk around it and find out about a lot of history. Don't forget about the pool they have at hotel Great trip for young and old

Our stay was wonderful the place was so cozy and nice. Our room was big and clean, the service was quick. the location was right in St. Augustine. Everything was in walking distance.
We would go back again!

Older hotel. Room looked recently remodeled. Near some attractions in St. Augustine but too far to walk to old downtown area but is not a far drive.

It was so close to excellent except for the stained old chair in the room. The renovation was great. The shower was so strong it almost hurt. We loved that it was a trolley stop. We will recommend to others.

I felt uneasy about the lack of safety. Door lock was shifty, windows did not have sheers and proper blackout drapes for privacy.

Pool was very cold. Motorcycle group came in, set up a food trailer that had a generator running all hours.

I loved the history of the property with the Senator tree & the staff was incredible. The cleanliness needs a LOT of work. The floors were horrendously dirty, both living and dead large ants all about, just not had a thorough clean in quite some time.

BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISING. When looking online, this hotel appears very nice and clean. When we arrived, we were in for an unpleasant surprise. Very dated, super thin walls, and very uncomfortable mattress and pillows. When looking for a hotel, these are the basic needs that should be able to be met. It was a rough night, and we couldn’t wait to get out of there. The total price definitely did NOT match the level of value. I feel this was equivalent to an $80/night hotel versus what we paid, which was substantially more than that.

The good: Charming old florida style hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was walkable to much that we wanted to see and do in St. Augustine. The not-so-good: The tile floors could have used a good cleaning. The breakfast was just ok. The walls must be very thin because we could hear our noisy neighbors, but it's an old building so that is to be somewhat expected.
